Just spoke to Russ about 30 mins ago and think we should set up a meeting for Saturday, not sure what the chances are of the game being on, but think it is appropriate we have a meeting to discuss:
Current position
Fundraising (ideas for next two weeks)
Planning for worst case scenario
Let's meet at 11:30 in the Wings bar
We need to keep to the above agenda so it doesn't drift into a 3 hour bore, look forward to seeing as many fellow wings supporters as possible!
Is this a supporter led meeting, a Club led meeting or a joint meeting with the Club Matt?
I only ask because the press release says "It is proposed that we hold a meeting with supporters this weekend (probably Saturday morning in the likely event of our home match against Eastleigh being postponed.)"

Would it not be better to hold the meeting after the game ?? If its an 11.30am meeting I would imagine a lot of people would be better used out on the pitch clearing snow at that time to try and get the game on ?? Just a thought.
No point in moving meeting back till 5 pm, most people will need to get to the ground between 8 or 9 in the morning on Saturday, to clear the snow. With the distance that Eastleigh have to travel the pitch inspection will be before 11:30.
If the pitch isn't passed fit and we have a meeting scheduled for 5, no one will turn up, so lets stick to 11:30
I can't make 11.30 but agree that should be the time. It has snowed in Bromley all day - we have 15 inches of snow in my garden. All Kent Youth League and London Cup (Youth) are already off. I can't think we will get the game on. If we do I will be amazed. There won't be a thaw before next week-end if the forecast is right.
On monday I posted the following with regards to the clubs situation:
Plans B and C: Both the same plan really just a question of who puts up the money- the 'Bromley based supporter' or a fans consortium. Obviously it would be easier logistically if the money came from a single source rather than several. I will put forward 3k to save the club either by way of a long term season ticket or loan but only if I see a sensible plan of action to take the club forward. This includes making the repayment of HMRC debt and a payment plan agreement to other creditors the highest priority- above that of playing and management staff's wages. Also an immediate and pressing need to search for the new ownership and investment that, I think, we all recognise.
I stand by that and believe that the best way the supporters can help is by purchasing long term season tickets or anything that they can afford (ie half year season tickets). This is much simpler than a loan or a share holding. Based on this seasons season ticket prices from the website this is what prices would look like:
Now i'd like to think there is something for everyone there and there is no reason for the club to even offer tickets for 10,15 or even 20 years. I reckon there is something for everyone there and raising 15k-20k is realistic.
I would personally, however, only contribute to this bailout of the club (because that's what it is) if the following conditions are met:
Conditions of Bail Out
- Money to be paid direct to WSU and only paid over to HMRC when the 59k is raised in full (including from other sources). If the club goes under money to go towards AFC WELLING UNITED
- Club to activley seek new investors/owners
- A supporters rep to be involved in talks with prospective investors- with a view to a seat on a future board
- Club to come clean about all outstanding debts ie: how much?, who too? and what terms will they accept for re-payment
- A brief financial plan for the next 6-18 months
- Barrie Hobbins to stand down from his role as Secretary at the end of the season- possibly taking up a part time advisory role.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh When the Wingssssss
I would have thought 3pm would have been the sensible time to do it considering we are all free at that time on a Saturday anyhow ... I work Saturday mornings for example so thats me out.
At a football club, theres a holy trinity the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors dont come into it. They are only there to sign the checks
Gary and I will definitely be there for 10 and making contact with Dave. So folks if you want scarves, hats etc for Luton, or want pint glasses, tankards, calendars or band night tickets come and see us in the shop.

I still think they should let us build snowmen though at the Park end :D Shame if the game is off, but I'm sure we won't have to wait too long for a new date.
