Ok we need money we could BEG charlton for 50k... But how about next week asking them to send their first team down or a strong squad and BEGGING their fans to turn up in a save welling match.

If they have a midweek game then play it on thursday. If we only get 100o people its 10 grand if we get 2000 or more if we advertise it everywhere and get it on london tonight its 20 30k

Surely up a creek we have to do this. If charlton wont do it then beg arsenal, spurs , chelsea even if they send their youth team with a few names.
It has to be better than nothing. Just check the weather for likely ok date.

If the weather is crap beg charlton for the 50k and say after xmas get them to send their first team down and we will give them all the gate receipts back...

Also give them first dibs on any player coming through so if we get an offer for anyone in the next 3 years we go to charlton and say do you want them for that price?

(Weve just had one from the academy go into the league i believe so its not as mad as it sounds)

Charlton haven't got £50 to spare! But I am surprised they havent been contacted to play a fundraising game.

Falconwood any chance of you starting a thread on your place to see if the club would be up for it? Desperate measures here mate ,and it would go an awfully long way to survival.

We need to get past this date in 2 weeks to give us time and breathing space. If Charlton agreed, EVEN if they played it at the valley to encourage home fans to attend.

Falconwood1 do you have any contacts at the valley? As Kev said, im not sure we would have asked and its desperation time. a couple of thousand in at PVR or the valley for a fund raiser could well save us added to 10 year bonds and money in the fighting fund account?

In fairness, this should've been done in August/Sept time. Maybe it already was done?

This kind of thing would have to be requested by Mr Hobbins. hmm

Yes, but its not just asking, its who asks and how.

I wouldnt be convinced that haggling and general business nous is Barrie strongest asset.

I've contacted Sodjie to see if there's anything he can come up with. At least one of his boys are at Charlton
