You put an account up you say a share is £100 and multiples off accepted. If you got pledges of over 50k all in you have enough to save the club.
Whether that gets you at least 50% of the club you would have to ask the hobbins.
Banking is 24 hours now, faster payments mean sums go instantly.
Forget red tape and lets do it by the book.. you need 50k plus in 13 days or forget talking about it.
Sort the shares out after, all you need is the solicitors to knock up some document that people read on line click they accept and then they transfer the dosh.
If you want to go for it i could probably get my mum to get it sorted (the document) shes a PA to a partner in a solicitors. WSU or someone would need to set up an account for the money to go in. Maybe we will save that for the last 48 hours though eh when everything else has gone tits up.

With all respect Tom, I doubt if this will happen. We have a hard core fan base, but I doubt, not enough to contribute the required amount that will get us out of the mire. As your Mum works in a solicitors, will they be willing to stump up some money? Would local business's do the same? of course not and you know the reason why.
If my poor old brain serves me well, when I first joined the forum, you stated that you wouldn't go to home games as long as the Hobbins were in charge. It appears now that you have changed your mind - and of course, you have the right to do so and good on you. I know that you, amongst others, have worked tirelessly to try and help save the club. Your ideas have been great and in most cases, would be a pragmatic approach to help saving the one thing that we love. But, this is Welling United - shafting the fans for years it is assumed. How can we convince Joe Public and of course, the regular fan base, to hand over their hard earned? No offence meant mate.
I came back because we were f**cked and while i never knew we had HMRC cases i knew we were doing money in. When the case came out i stayed.
I might have morals and beliefs but only a proper **** would watch it go tits and then say i told you so.
I spoke to Barrie in the summer he was humble and seemed genuinely wanting to straighten the club up. First time ive ever known the club to open up.
True, many cant afford it and some are saying they could. So if there were enough (remember some of these investors have had dosh not enough on their own) then they could raise enough for a consortium. If between those fans and left over investors there was 40-50k then its something to go to the club and say for 50% of the club the debt will be cleared and you will allow the consortium to have an active and equal role in running the club. Whos to say they wont give you the club outright if they kept their jobs for say 3 year contracts. Something tells me though with players wages behind and paye due soon you really want to raise 70-80k asap to get stability and keep the players happy aswell.
You lose nothing by trying do you and come 13 days you may wish you did try everything. Feel free to put a better idea up.

I might have morals and beliefs but only a proper **** would watch it go tits and then say i told you so. I might be right in thinking that most of us have morals and beliefs. We are the supporters that do not wish the club to fold, but alas, may not have extra funds to give to a regime that shafts the fans and ( allegedly ) don't pay their bills to local business's or bookmakers

All very well, but if the club folded and the supporters ran the club, who would elect them? You have stated many times that the WSU were a non-elected body of people. Who votes whom in?
You lose nothing by trying do you and come 13 days you may wish you did try everything. Feel free to put a better idea up. I think that loads of people have tried fund raising events etc and I agree with you by trying everything you can. Maybe some of us have put money into the club and to no avail. Maybe some of us are wondering why we have bothered ( I can think of 3 people that spring to mind straight away ) Lots of people have worked their socks of to try and help this club. Some of them, not naming names, but we know who they are, even had to re-write the club headed paper, spend their time and effort organising things, get the auction on song etc etc - all for what? Be told, as the rest of us were, it's now down to the supporters to bail us out because we couldn't be bothered to tell you two years ago that we haven't paid our bills etc? Your sentiment and passion for this club is notwithstanding and will always be commended, but until the Hobbins go, as you once stated, this club, the one we love, will be nothing. Nothing personal Tom, just my thoughts.

And as ive said if those with dosh feel like that then get together with the money to take over.
There is the option, if you have the money give it and if you dont want to then fine, if you want to join others in gaining control and saving the club then do it.
Others rightly will say what are the club doing, you will find that out on Saturday as i will.

Only time will tell and thank you for editing my post. I want this club to survive, but under a different regime. It's time to move on. Jamie and the boys have done marvels so far, long may it continue. Roll on tomorrow night when I win the Euro millions

I still believe that you have to be pragmatic - how is the normal working man going to stump up 3k knowing that it could be wasted on the club? As stated before, there have been lots of people working their socks of to raise money for the club, to what avail? We still haven't been told what has happened to the money raised from fund raising events yet. I understand that it is held in a trust? Has it been used to help pay the HMRC? This club should be re-named Welling Masons FC.
I doubt if I can make it on Saturday due to work commitments, but I look forward to you handing over your three grand cheque for the cause. ( afterall, small change for you mate )
If you think im paying any K you are mistaken mate. The option is there for those that wish to though. My point was for those saying oh i could do this and could do that but not with the current owners. Join together and buy them out.
Thats my point. Otherwise pray someone else comes in with the coinage. My views are known Steve, i aint gonna kick them on the way down as hard as some are starting to. Im not gonna say people are wrong who do.
But all this is crap at the moment, everyone one of wants the club to continue , negative vibes wont help the players or a potential investor.
Lets hope for an open and frank meeting and the club receptive to opening up fully and deep in negotiation with someone whos shown they have the dosh. they want to see out accounts? Jolly good, lets see theirs too as the last two lots have proved to have been all mouth and potless.

Also bring a thermos flask and a comfy chair to sit on :D
I hope something definite is decided on during the meeting. So far what i knew would happen has. Plenty of very good ideas suggested on these forums, and there has been endless debate on how good these ideas are, and lots of people saying they would donate money but...., and in the mean time nothing is being done. Each day that passes is another day lost.
Who is chairing the meeting? and who is likely from the club to be in attendance?
And
If people bring money (big or small) who do they give it to?

At a football club, theres a holy trinity the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors dont come into it. They are only there to sign the checks
I just pray this meeting is structured and we dont drift off on tangents saying what about in 1986 we should have done this.
Like the first meeting in the executice lounge then! Tomorrows meeting isn't a time for speeches and people having to tell a story of some description. It needs to be bull****/waffle free, someone in charge of the meeting has to cut people off when they start rambling and everything said needs to be on topic. The meeting musn't be about being really polite to people and not treading on peoples toes, but shouldn't degenrate into a slanging match.
