A friend of mine who is an AFC Wimbledon supporter but attends our Quiz Nights has asked me this afternoon whether he can make a loan or donation payment direct to the solicitors' Holding Fund on line.
I've no idea if this is possible. Can someone advise me what to tell him please.
If he does online banking there should be no problem. He should make a payment to Leathes Prior Client account, Sort Code 60-15-31 account 68537956 quoting reference DHC/WEL80-3. This is for Loans only (minimum £500.) I asked about donations in an earlier post which I suggested could be merged together and considered as a loan from the Supporters Group but the reply I got suggested that they were not interested in anything less than £250. I thought this was a pity as I think quite a few smaller donations would have been forthcoming and may have totalled a thousand or two. There is still time to pay in a cheque at any Natwest branch for credit to the above account. Anyone arranging their payment independently should email or phone the solicitors and give them the details.
The instructions covering the Loan Agreement which can be downloaded from the Official Site or the top thread are copied below ; -
You then need to complete the loan agreement, and send this to us with the monies. The simplest and quickest way to send monies is to create a CHAPS transfer to Leathes Priors client account quoting the reference DHC/WEL80-3. The bank account details are as follows: Bank Address: NatWest Bank plc Norwich City Office 45 London Street Norwich NR2 1HX Sort code: 60-15-31 Account number: 68537956 IBAN: GB24NWBK60153168537956 Swift/BIC code: NWBKGB2L Alternatively, please make your cheque payable to Leathes Prior Solicitors. Once Leathes Prior has received your payment we will sign the loan agreement and provide you with a copy. Should you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact me by email on dchapman@leathesprior.co.uk or on 01603 610911.
anything smaller could be done as the sponsorship draw!

At a football club, theres a holy trinity the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors dont come into it. They are only there to sign the checks
Also if anyone wants to GIVE amounts to the club lower than £250, at time of writing there are 9 players shirts, 7 shorts, 4 pairs of socks and 5 pairs of boots to be sponsored. Also needing to be sponsored are 3 coaching staff shirts, 2 shorts, and 3 pairs of boots. That all comes to a grand total of £1475!
Thinking WAY (a year or two) ahead, but isn't it about time we had an official history of Welling United? Maybe one or two of the more literate amongst us could collect a load of old photos and news clippings and do interviews with past and present players and produce a great big book, that i know would be a big hit amongst Welling fans and would sell shed loads via the clubshop. If it became popular enough maybe a deal with WHSmiths in Bexleyheath could be done. Also, there could be a limited run of signed (by the whole squad and management team, so would have to be the hardback version) copies that would sell for something like double the normal cover price, and this would raise a lot of money for the club.
