Got told today that The Bull at the top of Shooters' Hill has a supply of Sambrook Ale.  Wonder if this is an omen?

I had a pint of Sambrook's Powerhouse Porter today. It was rather splendid!

A pint of Shepherd Neame Rudolph's Reward for my lunchtime pint. Very nice too.

Good old Lidl's have got some cheap stuff in again. Spitfire, Bishop's Finger, Pedigree and Hobgoblin. 5 for £5.

Welcome home Alan. Hope the beer wasn't that bad "over there".

Thanks Alan, just been down to Lidl to stock up for Crimbo.

They are a bit sneaky as the tuff you mention is by the front door but there is nothing down the isles where they used to put some of the more regular stuff. However venture towards the freezer area and you will find a pallet of Maser Brew as well (cant say I;m a big fan of this one)

Tonight they had a fair bit left but think that will be gone early tomorrow at these prices.

Also had Bin35 red at 3-99 a bottle, amusing and bold and a cheeky little rascal according to my tasting notes

I wasn't in the pub, I was drinking one that I got in Lidls.

They did have it in The Banker's Draft in Eltham though and I had a pint or four in the Wetherspoons at Gatwick last week.

Thanks Dave. I had a few Sam Adams on draught that were very nice indeed but I was mainly on that lager stuff.

Ice House was one of the favoured brews. Very cheap in the supermarkets.
