Guy's, please do not assume that Claret Kim represents the Chelmsford fanbase. She has a weird obsession with your current plight and loves to repeat herself in massive boring posts which no one can be bothered to reply to correct the glaring holes in her argument. This is mainly because she never admits when she is wrong and will just reply with an even longer post saying the same thing again but just in a different word order.
I think the majority view at Chelmsford is that you ****ed up and the fanbase has moved to correct this. You still owe £20k, but you won't be allowed to get away without paying it so claims that you have cheated others are ridiculous because with the interest, you've actually ended up paying more tax than you would have done in the first place. As long as that £20k is paid off, I can't see what anyones problem is because you have been punished for your financial misdemeanors with a 5 point deduction as well.
Good luck in sorting out your issues, especially given the money the fans have stumped up. We will take those 3 points though if they are still on offer?
I think everyone agrees we ****** up. This 20k i think is a thing that no one knows.
Me personally, i am under the impression that current HMRC payments have been paid or were brought up to date for the period of the winding up petition (and were a condition of adjournments), I see others say we owe 20k? well you cant owe HMRC due in dec, jan, feb, march, april and may can you?
Hopefully we wil get clarification as i am confused and others are saying we owe it now.

I can only make the assumption that this 20k is the reminder of the 2010/2011 payments calculated on a 4500 a week budget, and maybe we have to prove that we can meet this debt as the Conference suspect we cannot, ie. although now up to date want some sort of reassurance that we wont slip back into the same problems.
Can't be botherd to look for it but I believe the Conf rules state that for all HMRC debts from more than 3 months previous a payment agreement must be in place with HMRC.

The original petition debt was £90,000 which the Club subsequently reduced by a payment of £30,000. The Club held a further £15,000 which it was about to pay but when HMRC did not dismiss the petition the payment was obviously not made. To its credit the Club seems to have held on to this money which would explain the opening balance on the account when the appeal to supporters was made. For the current season tax and NI at £1,000 per week (based on a weekly wage bill of £4,500) would be accumulating and at the time of the December hearings the total would have reached around £20,000. One or two quarter's VAT would also have been payable during this period. This is my personal interpretation of the information revealed but, I suspect, not far from the truth.
As i have said before i am under the impression that the WSU have paid some money towards CURRENT HMRC bills and i believe the club have paid some aswell. So this 20k is confusing me.
No-one knows do they? Do we owe it now? or not, are we upto date?
Hopefully we find out soon as this embargo is really starting to piss me off.

If Farnborough have had their embargo lifted then there is no reason we cant have ours lifted as well, its nothing to do with when the Conference are meeting etc. Unless, as usual, there is something we are not being told.
