So, whos looking forward to this? Never really seen Gravesend as Rivals as when we were in the conference they were in the Ryman. Maidstone were one of my Rivals, detested them, but for Many the true Rivals go back 30 years to D*rtford, i was too young to be involved in rivals back then but remember walking to watling street as a nipper from D*rtford Town Center, seemed about 20 miles at the time.

Distance wise it has to be D*rtford that should be our rivals, especially so now they are playing at our level, i am sure most of their fans wont see us as rivals as theyve not been able to play us in anything meaningful for 25 years plus and they see Gravesend as their rivals.

Lets hope that this is the start of some friendly rivalry being re-ignited, with big crowds and some good games.

Bit of spice in this game as we have Daisy and Coylie and they have Poundnote, Bruce,Burgess etc.

Obviously we only get 300 turn up so 1700 D*rts will boost the crowd to 2000. You can bet your bottom dollar that Daisy will have us up for it.

Last Meeting

Princes Park Kent Senior Cup last season

D*rtford 1 Wings 3

I personally feel our season and our squad gives us a great chance of winning on our own patch. Take away its D*rtford and its a team that has struggled to get to grips with Conference South and we are at home and the leagues top scorers and would be joint top bar a 5 point deduction.

Let them worry about us. Bring it on and COME ON YOU WINGS.

We'll win this game. I have all sorts of reasons why i dislike the town Dartford, and none of them have anything to with the football team, funnily enough. It should be a great game for us and I'm looking forward to it.

I can remember the games at Watling Street. The late Stuart White kicking the crap out of Bobby Arber.

I also remember games at PVR when Gary Julians gave them the finger after scoring twice in an evening game and the lovely Tony Pamphlett and Francis Cowley throwing mud at Welling fans who were absolutely hammering them from behind the goal!! Happy days.....

I am pleased that we can renew this fixture and a bit of extra spice with old boys on both sides. It might not be a big deal to the D**** fans but it is to me and I am looking forward to three points at the weekend

Having watched the Ebbsfleet v Dartford game on Tuesday - If Welling play their passing game Dartford will not get near the ball. Dartford players lack mobility (except two front players, George Purcell & Charlie Sheringham) Hopefully the Sub - James " A 21 YEAR OLD CART HORSE" White plays thou maybe suspended as sent off for 2 bookings within 5 minutesf
Full backs are the weakness, the LB thinks hes a bully boy, wont get near Faz.

I think Dartford 2 forwards would improve a very good Ebbsfleet side. Top draw LB in Derek Duncan and young player (19 year old from Academy) Michael West will go on to play league football.

Questions

Is Eriths Bar and Tea Bar open?
Is there a pitch inspection?
Is it segregated?

Well i could do or some announcements could be made for the game that is likely to provide our biggest gate of the season.

It does make more sense for the club to announce things rather than 1000 people ring the club. People have said "why dont you ring the club" a lot recently.

Well i just went to that link and it's not us they hate, but the club bar!

The opening poster made me laugh, with his 3-1 to Dartford prediction :D When they look at the league table do they have it the wrong way round?

I didn't mean to sound glib but it appears that Barry contacts you for this forum or James for the official site. If James has gone out to celebrate the end of 2010 that only leaves you. That's the drawback of a one man official website.

I am currently at Boris's Party if i get an email in the mean time i will let you know. Just felt with many people strolling in about 5am and waking up at 1pm that some news re pitch, bars, segregation may have been forthcoming ahead of our impending 6-0 win tomorrow.

I do see your point aswell

What i would say though, is that they are all saying dont go in the welling bar, so when we take 300 fans to Princes Park maybe find a place to go before the game rather than the stadium bar.

I think what Danson Mark is maybe trying to say is - will the game be on tomorrow?
Have the club looked / tested the pitch prior to the game?
A lack of info from the club as per normal then.

That depends on who your uncle is, and how well he played for us

Ben im not sure your massive flags will go anywhere, normal flags are brought in and placed over the hoarding by some teams. You might need a flagpole for your giant one.

One last post before the game, hope you see athe true Dartford today, we seem to step it up in bigger games a la Port Vale, Ebbsfleet at home etc, but our away form isnt great .
well done to your club for staying afloat,i would be upset if welling went under despite any hatred i would have on matchday, its a sad sight to see any club go under especially local rivals now were back in the BSS.
will be great to see jamie's coyle and day today (if they are playing ??), two of my favourite players since starting watching dartford way back . good luck today but hope the best team prevails (dartford biggrin)
ben.

Cheers Gilesy.  I sat next to some Dartford fans today and had a good chat with them.  All the Darts I spoke to today were really nice people; shame a couple of idiots on the forums had given us the impression that was representative of Darts fans.

Despite our dominance, Dartford could easily have snatched a draw (or a win) if only they could have defended better at set pieces.  If they can sort that out they'll have a good chance of staying up.  I'm not sure we would have scored from open play today.

Referee was not great.  The Darts fans next to me all said that it should not have been a penalty.  Even the Dartford manager was laughing and shaking his head when it was awarded!

Darts had a good 600 there today, were loud for 15 mins then we outplayed them only the flu and the ref gave them interest at the end.
A few knobs from dartford slagging the ref who was as bad for both sides and gave them a soft penalty through sympathy. In the main the darts fans were friendly and in numbers and nice to have a local rival again, i hope they stay up.
