Great result and total respect for the players considering the situation but..
Why weren't the other turnstiles open?
why did the club run out of programmes?
why did there seem more cars parked in front of the bar/badly situated tea bar?
why no beer, real ale, soft drinks in the bar?
- point one, doens't take a genius to pay a couple of people an hours pay to man the erith turnstiles. More people in earlier, the more some will spend on beer, tea, merchandise and programmes. Why on earth did Barry take a climb up the fence to see 'what the queue was like'? When i looked in my crystal ball back in July (i.e. the fixture list) and saw Dartford at home on New Year's Day it didn't take long to figure out we'd have a big crowd of around 2,000 (sorry 1500) and it would need turnstiles open to cope.
- point two, how many programmes did the club print? I would have expected a crowd of 2,000 (or possibly 1500) so maybe get 1200-1500 printed. I was there at 2.40 and complete sell out - complete joke.
- point three, shift the cars and tea bar please. i can understand the tea bar wants the turnstile punters but with a game like today it made changing ends, accessing the bar and the stand really difficult.
- point four, no diet coke, no real ales, no Kronenburg.???
This WAS our biggest game for years and we've made ourselves look amateur, lost money and pi**ed off the fans.
I should be celebrating the best win for years but what a joke the running of our club has become.
I am going to throw one more point in here as well and it involves the stand .... had to sit there today with spills due to a BADMINTON injury.
There was ONE person taking money for the stand but there are TWO stairwells i paid the money for both of us but how can one person look after two sides with the amount of people coming in, i saw LOADS of people sitting down and not paying there quid!
And Gary spot on with the turnstiles point was a joke!
Great win tho and got to mention Joe Healy who actually just beat 11 men on his own .... i could play up top for Dirtford they were ****e!
And an award for the jobsworth manning the season ticket turnstile. Despite being told by BH to use that turnstile with my kids he said he couldn't take my money and my 8 and 11 year old should join the queue but he would let me in!

When I arrived at around 14:20 I walked straight in at the season ticket gate. Having been held up buying a programme, lottery number and taking a membership form for the WUSA (Patsy missed me but caught me later) I walked into the bar which was pretty full of Dartford supporters. I queued for 10 minutes as there was only one serving for half the time and walked away with two pints of St Austell Tinners.
It appears that the Real Ale had sold out before kick off time as there was none at half time. There were no bottled beers.
Could it be that programme printers and drink suppliers are amongst those owed money so will not increase the normal home game orders?
The congestion around the entrance to the club bar is another thing that needs to be addressed in due course.
We beat Dartford though so despite all this, I am happy!!!
All these problems highlight the need for a Supporters Association representative to have a place on the board a.s.a.p. so that he can hopefully make constructive suggestions which will actually be listened to and acted upon.
There are undoubtedly many off-field things that can be improved considerably. What I don't think can be improved much are the team's performances on the field. I thought they were tremendous today and the win was far more convincing than the scoreline suggests. Everybody played well but I think special mentions are due for Joe and Loui who I felt were absolutely outstanding.
I'm looking forward to Lewes and hope the illness situation improves in the next couple of days.

Spot on. I would asume our creditors have us on a strict regime. Still, that's no reason someone couldnot have popped down to Tescos and dipped in their own pockets
The club is run at the level the Hobbins' family are capable of operating at, not very high. As soon as problems arose they couldn't handle things. When the fans kicked up a fuss they reluctantly agreed to certain changes and have dragged their heels ever since. They stubbonly believe that the way they have done things is the right way and they absolutely will not change anything unless forced to by supporters of the club. They're getting on my bloody nerves!
The club is run at the level the Hobbins' family are capable of operating at, not very high. As soon as problems arose they couldn't handle things. When the fans kicked up a fuss they reluctantly agreed to certain changes and have dragged their heels ever since. They stubbonly believe that the way they have done things is the right way and they absolutely will not change anything unless forced to by supporters of the club. They're getting on my bloody nerves!

and on the point about the attendance there was easily close to 2000 there but im not bothered either way
and also a good point about us not paying thr suppliers of booze and programmes but why couldnt someone just get in some beers from tescos online?! i usually get something like 60 bottles of premium lager for £20ish so it isnt difficult to stock up.....oh i forgot there isnt even a pc at pvr
I can't see any problem with getting more bottled beers in. There's absolutely no waste with it unlike cask ale.
I personally prefer some bottled beers to the cask version. Masterbrew is one example and with Young's Bitter there's not an awful lot of difference.
Also, much as I detest plastic glasses it'd be so much quicker to sell a bottle of beer and a plastic throwaway glass. Saves on washing up too.
I don't know what the rules are on allowing beer to be drunk in a special area on the terraces. If it were allowed then plastic glasses would be a must.
Having said all that, I never drink when I go to PVR.
Neither do I. As much as I would prefer to put my money into the club, the bar is crap! The last time I was in there I was with someone who isn't really a Welling fan. We had a pint of lager each, it tasted of pish. Really rank stuff. There was nothing on the telly despite other games being on that night, and this was back when Sky Sports News was still on Freeview. Aside from this it took ages to get served and there was nowhere to sit and little else to stand. Arriving in Welling from the train station (myself and away fans included) who wouldn't want to stop off in the Turnpike for a bit of grub and a wide array of cheap real ale. Or watch the early Premier League kick off on the big screen in the Nag's Head.
Maybe if our bar was bigger, prettier, with nice drink and somewhere to sit with my mates while supping my pint and watching something Welling or just football related on the telly, I'd visit the bar more often.

Couldn't agree more Dogme. Changes need to be made, sooner rather than later. I have no doubt that the Hobbins are passionate about the club, but we, the paying supporters, deserve better. Problems have been highlighted about the lack of programmes etc on Saturday - that is not the way forward and is a joke, not only to us, but away supporters and potential investors. I rarely go into the clubhouse for a drink at the game - mainly because of driving, but also because the facilities are antiquanted at best. I look forward to the new WUSA having and influence, but I not holding my breath - not on their part, but the clubs.
