Sorry the commentary wasn't to your taste. Myself and my colleague try our best, but we're just supporters. It's mainly for the benefit of Darts fans around the world.
Dart Vader, I don't wish to undermine your efforts, for which you clearly deserve credit. If I can make some constructive criticism, however, I would suggest you have one person commentating on the play with the other chipping in with his view of main incidents. The roles can be swapped every 15 minutes or so. Really there was little commentary in the first half although it improved in the second. You might try listening in to Eastleigh's commentary on their home midweek matches (Mondays) on www.radio-spitfire.talktalk.net. They too are amateur commentators.
Dart Vader it is good work that you and your friend do, supporters helping to promote their club and making accessible to fellow supporters great, I appreciate the fact that you are both amateur commentators I just felt that at times you were talking to each other about Darts issues rather than on the game..
I concur with John I do not want to undermine your sterling efforts but as a point of constructive criticism, please remember although you are predominantly Dart fans orientated - away fans who cannot make the game can and do listen to it as well and would like to hear about the game. If you take on board John's advice, this will help you develop as commentators.
Well done though for providing your club with this service, it something we do not do at our club - so keep up the good work.
Also credit to you both although your are providing a service for dartford fans, I felt you were balanced in your take of welling and the praising of Jamie Day, and loved the passion you gave when Darts scored the equaliser.
I do not know if you do it, but have you concidered doing a fans show simular to what CAFC fans did on Time Radio a few years ago, they had CAFC fans in the studio talking about CAFC you could do an hour - 2 hour Darts Show/podcast, That would help you in your quest to reach out to Darts fans who have moved further a field.

The thing is , slate a commentary but... Its by fans, for fans, often at their expense and for their fans. It also gives the oppo fans a way of keeping upto date with the game. The darts game i listened to last year had a lot of swearing by the commentators in it which was a bit iffy. Anyone who does live comms from ground / club radio should be applauded. We did a few games and i know its valuable when it comes to keeping people upto date who are exiles/at work or skint.
