Old school manager who enjoyed success in the past but was unable to adapt with the times as we found out to our cost. Empties a dressing room quicker than a spider in a room full of arachnophobics in a desperate attempt to recapture his former success.

I thought it was funny when Joe Vines slaughtered him in the press. Fordy said somwthing along the lines of Joe has gone as he doesnt think Maidstone are going anywhere. Vines then appeared a few days later in the same paper and said can i put the record straight, it wasnt maidstone having no ambition, i have no faith in andy ford!!!

Strange personality and right to leave Welling when he did (at least he walked) but saved us after the debacle of Smith in 2007/08 and gave us a very good year in 2008/09 including the famous win at Wimbledon. Deserves credit for that.

How much was down to Phil Handford then Jimmy Dack?
Did a great job getting us out of trouble when he first came and during his one full season.
Can't understand why people think Phil and Jimmy should take the greater credit - a manager's job is to manage and delegate.
Was surprised that he took the Maidstone job and equally surprised at the timing of his departure.
On a personal level think he is a decent guy. Falls out with players but doesn't bear a grudge as demonstrated by Ellis Green's arrival at Maidstone.
Think he will pack it in for good now.
It is important that a manager has the right back up staff and he got that right when he first took over. Sadly he seemed unable to manage within a decent budget and I have never been a fan off a revolving door policy.

Both did well and played important parts but Ford was still the front man!
Andy Ford is/was old school sergeant major type manager and had too many spats with players. Went through loads of players and when things didn't go his way (with us and Maidstone) he threw a hissy fit and left both clubs in the lurch.
I think he had a far higher budget than we are currently working with (subsidised by the WSU if I recall) and yet that still wasn't enough.
