Stranger things happen in football, but this does seem a rather odd rumour. Pennock left Welling to further his career at a higher level of football; why would he return to Conference South management, especially with Stoke doing so well?

Seems like wishful thinking from Dartford. Surely Pennock would only move back into club management at a higher level than Conference South. As I said, though, stranger things have happened.
