Just Charlton so far .

Dover have only announced 5 but all 5 at home, i think this is great planning as gets money in, i agree we have to send teams to lower local teams too.

Have we asked Luton to send a team? you never know and they were gracious with us in the press, their boss may send a team or even first team.

Surely Wimbledon must be an option to look at, whether they end up in League 2 or Blue Square Premier next season. I'd imagine they're probably in high demand for a friendly but has got to be worth a call seeing as we're likely to get over 1000 fans for it

Wimbledon is a good shout.

Daisy and Keds were good mates when the latter was at PVR and they would bring decent numbers.

Daisy is mates with their captain as Wingnut said above, would think we could get a game with them. Just the type of team that would be a tremendous friendly and a decent crowd if we can get a strong team from them... and Keds would get a great welcome back too.

Charlton, Palace, Arsenal, Millwall, Wimbledon, West Ham. Why not try to get them all down to PVR. That could be worth £50-£60k if not more!

Thinking a bit leftfield, Norwich City:
Just promoted to Premier League;
Delia's got local connections;
Perfect opportunity for Dan Chapman to attend.

We haven't played US Gravelines in a friendly for years. Surely we're due to reaquaint anglo-french acquaintances, ready for when we play Dover next season.

QPR, the Dons and Norwich are all good shouts.

I saw Adie Pennock on TV in the stand with Tony Pulis at a game last week.  Would it be worth a call to him to see if there's any chance of getting Stoke to play us.  Cup finallists this season and in Europe next, they ought to draw in a good crowd.

Good friendlies

Add say Crystal Palace at Home, and say Whitstable or Hastings away and job done.

Tuesday 19th July Home V Maidstone United once our rivals in the conference, hopefully be a fair crowd for that and hope we batter them and show no mercy, they are Maidstone after all... Will be good to play the Stones again.

I would like to see a friendly with Championship side announced, then I would be more pleased with this friendly. Appreciated this is easier said than done though.

I think you'll get as many for the maidstone game as you would a championship x1, Id invite AFC Telford or FCUM down for a friendly as the final friendly or Lewes or St Albans. 4 home is perfect and the away ones seem fine to me.

 I note that is on the Beckenham website but not ours. If they are right we are playing Saturday, Monday, Wednesday.

No mention of Maidstone at home either.

 It would be good publicity if it was on the Welling United website though

I take it season tickets from last season are not valid for the home friendlies, & that season tickets for the forthcoming season are?

Can anyone confirm this matter?

Cheers:happy0180:

 Last seasons season tickets are NOT valid for the upcoming friendlies. I asked one of the turnstile blokes about it at the Basingstoke game.

I've lost track a bit of where we are with friendlies - what's still happening and what's not.

Does anyone have a list / link to all the confirmed friendlies and dates?

Is the pre-season at Beckenham just a fig box of their webmaster's imagination?

Just checked their site. Matches on their website in red and grey. We are in grey but there is no explanation as to the significance of the colours. Unconfirmed? Reserves? Academy? who knows
