A review from a Southend fan on Parkinson last night: Again, hard to judge really, due to the poor nature of the first half. For me, he certainly looked to have something about him, but it struck me that he wasn't really a midfielder. Has a good frame on him and wasn't afraid to get stuck in, I was surprised by just how vocal he was to a bunch of players he'd only met today. If he can play right back/centre back/midfield I'd certainly be tempted into bringing him in providing the fee is small. There's something there for PS to work with

Iv just been reading a few of the reviews of the game and my mate was also watching last night as a Dartford supporter. He said Jack done well but didnt really get alot of the ball but when he did his passing was good. The reviews are saying the same really hard to tell in 45 mins but looked the better of the trialists.

Must be even harder for him after playing the whole game on saturday and i wonder if they look at him play in what i fell is his best position ant centre back tonight.

Jack and Lee Sawyer (other centre midfielder) were trying to play on the floor / thro the channels. Thou not helped by the Defenders preference to go long UP IN THE AIR to two small forwards one of which were not great and the No.10 was awful. Shame Jack did not play 2nd half along with Neil Harris - Ex Millwall

Impressed with Ryan Hall (at Bromley the season before last) who played in 2nd half

4-0 up now parky described as solid tonight by a southend fan on twitter.

"hard to say on 45 minutes, but the centre back Parkinson and right back Leonard have been solid, Ricketts showed class"

He played well from the reviews , they saw him play Charlton at centerhHalf and hes played center mid and then center half for them all in 4 days. Hes proved hes fit and can play in 2 positions, theyve also been watching him since he was 16 or 17 when he was at VCD.

I think they will make an offer for him. They aint the only club interested i've heard.

Dont want to lose Jack, hes been exemplary and always put the club first but he deserves a shot and clearly is attracting interest from higher placed clubs. If he did go i think every Welling fan would wish him the best and he would know if it didnt work out we would take him back in an instant.

If he does stay then its all good anyway.

I don't want him to leave the club, but i can't help thinking about the money we would get for him. And if two clubs want to bid against each other for him then that would be great for us :D

He's tall and good in the air, he's young and will improve further, he can play in more than one position, he can tackle and pass not just hoof, and he scores goals both in the air and with a bullet shot. What is there for Southend not to like ... I doubt he was tested much last night against a lower non-league team than he is used to, but all the same, I assume they will want him or why watch him 3 times ??

To be sure I suppose... even after Jack was the leader in wanting to commit to us, I would wish him well for his future, wherever that may be. If he gets a chance he should take it.

As you say so well Kev, a young footballing talent we have enjoyed watching.

But we would prefer him to stay and get his BSBS winners with us wouldnt we.

If he does go I hope it's to Southend. My nephew's boy is on their books.
