......in a 3-1 win against Newcastle Town.

"Pires is exactly what we are looking for IMO. Strong, good header of the ball, aswell as a decent touch. Took his goal well and could have had another 2. He faded in and out a bit but im sure Dario could work on this".

How do things work with his trial then. I know it's for 4 days, so after that does he play for us in friendlies and waits to see if Crewe will sign him? I hope things work out for him, but if he does leave Welling, I'll miss seeing him running around like Bambi on ice a lot :D

I would imagine he will come back to us and if Crewe make an offer then Jamie will decide if Loick stays or goes. It said last night that Jamie wants to know by end of week. Cant see him extending the trial. We need to get our players prepared, weve been fair and Parkys gone on two trials, Loick and Stella one each.

Agreed. They've seen enough now, scouting them in our games, seen them play in friendlies for their own clubs, and also had them at training. Put up some cash for them or bugger off. If offers dont come in by the end of the week then it should be too late because we need to know whether they are here for the opening day or not, and to give us time to find replacements if needed.

No hes playing for Crewe on Friday against Nantwich. i think Crewe are taking the piss. Ok have him train and have him play a game but 2 games in 3 days and training... think its wrong. I hope Daisy adds a few quid to these transfers and gets a loan player if these clubs want to play our boys in a number of games its just delaying us getting prepared for the season or replacing them.

Good luck to Loick and Parky though its not their fault that league clubs are taking the piss out of us.

Remember Southend played Parky TWO DAYS RUNNING only 2 days after he played 90 mins for us and still never made an offer.

I think if theyve scouted our player, let them go and train for a day and play 45 mins.

They are starting to take the mick I agree ... imagine someone got injured, they'd send them back to us, we'd be out of pocket and down a player. Alternatively, they play them in two friendlies, give them the impression they are interested, then dont sign them, send them back to Welling, and the player is demotivated and disillusioned as a result, again Welling suffer.

Shut up shop. They are our players on a contract, cough up money now or go away.

Welling United winger Loick Pires began training with the club on Monday.

The 21-year-old scored nine goals in the Conference South last term, and Gradi has so far been impressed.

He said: He trained yesterday and spent several minutes fetching the ball after kicking it over the wire practising free kicks.

He was fine though, very athletic and looks as though hes got a sense of humour. He was laughing as he went to fetch the ball and he looked decent.
