Hopefully a decent Wings line up and we have a go at them for the first half and score a few. Then rest some players second half and have a look at some youngsters.

Would be nice to get a nice win and play some of the good football we have played V Charton and Gillingham.

Thamesmead could have Jake Burman son of Tony playing and also ex Wings Trialist Lawrence Yiga playing for them.

Second goal was well worked, we went one down Yiga scored from edge of box. We equalised when Clarkey missed a penalty but followed up and scored the rebound. Winner was well worked goal finished by Cumbers.

I will let others tell you about the "referee", wow weve seen some poor ones but this one was truly whistle happy and abysmal. He booked our midfield in the space of a couple of minutes.

New trialist very small forward/midfielder called Femi came on second half, no not that one, definitely likes to pass it and is nippy would be interesting to see if his size is against him at BSS level. Jordan did well again left back second half and Acheampong was commanding today and played well.

Ref tried to ruin the game and somehow played a total of TEN MINUTES stoppage time.

Yiga put them ahead (big deflection). Clarke equalised following up his saved penalty kick and Cumbers headed home Pugh's second half cross to win it.

Overheard Thamesmead official ask a Welling person "what do you think of the ref coz we think he is a clown"

Acheampong solid, johnson confident at left back his best postion
Parkinson you can see why people want to look at him, team looked more settled with him.
Referee abyssmal feel sorry for any club who find themselves having him as a official.

Yeah agreed - Acheampong M.O. the M., Johnson in most confident form/postion as of yet, & Capt Jack great to have you back!

Thought Mehmet looks the best bet out of the lot as our other keeper for the coming season - a very solid bet (y).

Poor old Clarke took a few whacks, hope you ok mate if you read this?

Oh yeah & the ref';  Not being funny mate... but you're a 'XXXX' !:hilarious:

Acheampong......MOTM?? Well I must have been watching a different game then.

Granted Anthony has come on leaps and bounds as was one of our most improved players last season but Saturday was not his finest hour. Partly at fault for the goal and his decision making at times was poor. Against Ryman One standard it doesn't matter but against BSS forwards it will........

Still maintain the best two centre backs at the club are Parrkinson and Martin.

Think you watched a diff game then lol, everyone ive talked to thought Anthony was very good and M.O.M

1 Yiga scuffed his shot that went through ants legs, dont forget he came across as no right back there.
2 Ant made a few great tackles in and around the box
3 Ant mopped up balls in the air.
4 His passing was fairly good forward.

Mind you it is all subjective someone said x played well and i thought they had an off game and someone said x triallist isnt any good and i think they are good and had 3 good games for us.

For me AA was outstanding, I would agree and say he could have got tighter for goal but apart from that he stood out. He now has the confidence to bring the ball out of defence and pick a pass instead of lumping up to the big men of Pugh and Cumbers. We look a better side when the ball is passed on the deck and if you have defenders capable of doing that then its a big asset. He was strong in the air and made some great tackles. A lively outsider for Player of the year - you heard it here first!!
