Are We out of the Cup due to ineligible player?

I've had had it suggested to me that we fielded an ineligible player in our first FA cup tie and as such are booted out.


I find it hard to believe that we could make such a mistake, but has anyone else heard this, or can someone pleae put my mind at rest?


The suspects would be Solomon or Bodkin who may have been cup tied or Jamie Day who might have had a larger suspension than suggested.

No! I find that impossible to believe.


The player and the club are also notified if they're ineligible due to suspension, or would surely remember having already played in an FA Cup match?


Still, we would not be the first team to field a player whose paper work had not gone through.

I can find nothing on the FA site to suggest any infringement of the rules and both Ade and the brothers were referring to our continuing Cup run at last nights Meet the manager evening.  It would appear that whoever suggested our being booted out of the Cup is winding you up or is privvy to inside information from the FA.  On the information available at this time I would suggest its a wind up.

day was sent off for 2 yellows which is a 1 game ban which was served against bognor regis. the same for moore who wasn't suspended last week but is today. bodkin and solomon played against boreham wood so we would have been chucked out of the cup after tha game if they were inellgible. there is no reason why any other player shouldn't have played in the cup games for welling.
