it says in yesterday's programme that james doesn't get paid for doing the official website and it is done on a voluntary basis and all money raised for advertising on the site goes towards paying for the hosting.
barrie hobbins also went on the tannoy before the game to announce that there is no truth in rumours that we have been thrown out of the fa cup for fielding an inelligible player.
As for the official site, you cannot even click on our main sponsor........
Just more yawns from the club I'm afraid.
However, with regard to James not being paid, I think the allowances he has had been granted commercially by the club must go a fair way to the bargain of having an offical site.
I'm sure Marchmonkeyassassin will be crying into his jazz mags.

Voice in the Stand who was responsible for the initial posting was advised that it was probably a wind up. He subsequently discovered that it was indeed a wind up and before 2pm he had posted an apology for causing unnecessary worry.
Boys will be boys but it would have been nice if BH, when he made the announcement, had acknowledged that the rumour posted on the website had already been retracted.

I can't believe with all that goes on on a Saturday that it was BH himself who saw posting.
Its no big deal its just that the originator of the rumour had scotched it as quickly as he could and BH too was killing it before it got out of hand. I just think think it would have been better to refer to a rumour circulating, which it no doubt was, rather than a rumour on a website which was probably seen by a relatively small number of people.
If I have offended BH I apologise unreservedly.
