BRUNO I POSTED IT HERE CAUSE YOU HAVNT STARTED A TOPIC YET
Welling United came into the match against Thurrock on the back of four straight victories and were comfortably sitting at the top of the Blue Square South table, 2 points ahead of rivals Dartford and Woking.
But it was the home side who took the lead after just twelve minutes. A shutdown between the Welling defence allowed the Thurrock No.10 Cracknell to guide the ball past Dan Thomas in the goal to send the bottom of the table side to an early lead against highflyers Welling.
All the chances were going Welling Uniteds way, with the odd one or two penalty claims turned down by the referee and his assistant. All untill the 39th minute when Loick Pires was brought down in the penalty area, and left the referee no chance but to point to the spot. Lee Clarke was the penalty taker, and did what he does best. Gently passing the ball into the back of the net from 12 yards.
Once Welling got their first, they had got there second. A ball whipped into the box by Andy Pugh was misleadingly hit by Thurrock defender, Bruce, into the back of his own goal. "The best own goal of the season so far" nominated by forum alias - The Popes Pointy Hat. The half time score Thurrock 1 - 2 Welling United.
It didnt take long into the second half for Welling to add a third onto the scoresheet as the ball fell to Loick Pires who fired it into the bottom corner from 22 yards and to wrap up the game for Welling.
Four minutes later, Welling had goal number four. This time, it was super-hitter Andy Pugh grabbing his seventh goal in the first six games. He is currently the BSS top goalscorer and his goal showed why when he found a shot simular to Loick Pires' but this one was a further ranged shot. This left The Wings glued to the top of the table after the opening six fixtures of the season. And three records still remain with Welling United tonight as Andy Pugh remains top goal scorer for the sixth round of fixtues running. Welling continue there 100% unbeaten start to the season and continue their 100% win start at away fixtues.
Welling are currently on 16 points with a +10 goal difference, but still only two points ahead at the top as Dartford found a 3-1 home victory against local team Bromley and Woking anialate Tonbridge Angels away from home 3-6.
Welling go into the game at Woking on Saturday, on their best form since 1975

Well done, I think Bruno is happy that everyone puts their reports in one thread so whoever does the first one just use that, so today they can all use your thread as its the first report.
Small point Cracknell was number 6 and Loicks header was close range and a good one. Unless i saw it wrong?

I know what Cracknell looks like, and he certainly wasnt wearing number 10 thats for sure .. Im assuming you didnt witness him in Wings shirt Mr Hoodie ... although Ive never seen you in a hoodie. Ta.
I repeat my previous question ... how does a 100% unbeaten start differ to an unbeaten start ?? We're just unbeaten. 100% or otherwise. This word basently ... it intrigues me, what does it mean ??
Blonde kid in a hoodie, although your reports are not 100% gramatically correct, please do not be put off by Mr Kevin, who is sadly suffering from all the main symptoms of Grumpy Old Man Disease at the tragically young age of 30!

Blimey, you had a very similar view of events to mine yet a certain terrace dweller tells me regularly that my reports bear no similarity to what actually happened.

No need to apologise. Everyone is entitled to their own taste although I wouldn't refer to other people's favourites as carp just because I don't like it.
