There have been many debates around if we should or should not have an away travel service. Some have said "no" because some of the lads like to get to the ground a couple of hours early to go to the bar but some have said "yes" because it may be their only option of going to away days.

I am saying that some of the people who said "no", i dont want to be rude here, wasnt even on the coach to Braintree and that coach was still nearly full. So what im saying is how about we do an away coach for one game and see the response.

Like a coach of 65:

If the coach has 0/65 - 45/65 dont do it again

If the coach has 46/65 to 55/65 try it again next game

If the coach has 56+ do it for the next five away games

So why dont we give the coach a try.

I think that on the form Welling is on. We could use more fans to support them.

The next possible match thaat we could need away travel on is Eastleigh on October 22nd. Post your responses and say whether your interested in a seat on the coach say yes and how many.

Who, do you think, should organize it?

The reason that the coach was popular for Braintree was that engineering works made public transport almost impossible.

I don't want to arrive at places two hours before kick off. That's far too late.

There are also several away games prior to Eastleigh on October 22nd. I agree though Mark, if going away, I want to be there for 11am to see a bit of the place we're going to ... and to drink a keg of ale.

Numerous people over the years have put a lot of work into trying to arrange away coaches. However there is a large split of people who want to get to the town at 11 for a few drinks and those who literally want to arrive in the ground at 2.30pm and then leave at 5.30pm. Apart from the odd game such as the Braintree one mentioned, i can't see regular travel happening.

If i remember right, Eastleigh is less than an hour and a half on the train and if you travel in groups of four you can get half price tickets making it cheaper than coach travel anywhere.

Mark is correct above also, who would organise it? Someone would need to take the bull by the hands and organise it themselves rather than expecting other people to do things, something we have seen a lot of over the years!

The only way i see this happening is if getting a 23, 25 or 27 seater for all games and building up a group of regulars who would use it. To be fair Trigger is considering a 15 seater? which would render the above useless.

If there were 20-25 who would go by coach most games and you could get a quote on a mini coach that would mean travel costs are reasonable it might work.

maybe you need to get a list of people who would go by coach at the ground?

Flexibility and cheaper return trains if bought in advance or groupsave mean a lot will go by train and leave when they like rather than have to jump on a coach at 530.

If you can find 20-30 who would go by coach then get a mini coach.

Big coaches are as mentioned above good for one offs or cup matches.

My dear Blonde kid in a Hoodie.

I for one take my cap off to you, and you have my full support.

You can put me down for a seat.

It's great that you at such a young age have taken the 'bull by the horns' and have decided to arrange for coach trips to away matches. What I would suggest is that you pay by credit card as you will have a little more protection with your money.

Please let me know when you want the deposit (is a cheque ok)?

Keep up the excellent work.

Trigger, I couldn't have put it better myself!

I am also impressed at TBKIAH's knowledge of where to hire a 65 seater coach.
