There's a strong chance that my hatred dates back to the days of Geoff Chapple. What an egotistical fool. I recall one day opening the goods-in entrance at my old work in London a year after Geoff had left Woking. He was a delivery driver for a courier firm (what a fall from grace) and I told him that I was a Welling fan and that I hated his smugness. His face was a picture.
Perhaps it was that mullet-haired Laurence Batty in goal for the Cards that makes me cringe. Who recalls that silly fella 'Trevor' behind the goal at PVR that caused Laurence to get a complex every time we played Woking?!
Days gone by I know, but I don't like them.
Beat them on Saturday please Welling. Please.
I'll be transfixed to my pc in Queensland, Australia as the results trickle in and I'd love to go to bed in the wee small hours smiling thinking about yet another Daisy win.
I remember Trevor running onto the pitch to confront Batty! It gave him so much of a complex that he even mentioned Trevor in an interview he did with The Sun!
For me loads of reasons to loathe Woking; Roy McDonough and chappel comments, batty, some of their fans at times causing aggro, that big stand, the rest of their ground, their crap clubhouse, the selley 'tackle', big club mentality, homer refs.
Think I'll stop there for now!
