I doubt if theyve been at a game this season, I am wondering if Davison can be arsed to send someone for 1st v 2nd
Im guessing he would say no need as BBC Surrey there... Well last year Radio Kent did comms from games BBC Surrey did too.
Anyone heard anything from Radio Kent? not that we should believe in anything they say after what Davison said on air last season about covering us fairly and regularly.
If they dont turn up Saturday should they be banned from the ground?

Yes, dont make contact with them ... with no top tier football, our style of play, banging goals in for fun, and 1st v 2nd, if they dont turn up now they never will and we should make a statement by banning them.

Personally I feel the club should make a stand and ban them fromm the ground. We never get more than a brief mention irrespective of how well we are doing.

They get it all their own way, dont cover us at all or only under sufferance yet they get to commentate when other kent clubs are at pvr.
The coverage we had last year was a disgrace, Davison must have thought we would do badly to say we would be covered. Our coverage against every other kent club fell well short.
They cant use the bbc surrey excuse because they commentated on games where surrey were there last season you could hear both lots of commentators on in the background.
They havent got a leg to stand on if they dont send anyone tomorrow.

I cant be having that, if we banned Radio Kent they would just turn around and go oh well. I dont se what we would gain by doing so? We are in an awkward situation as if we got to 3rd round of the cup we all know BBC London would come sniffing, but during the league season they wouldnt coevr us even if we paid them. Radio Kent do mention us during sports bullentins in the daytime shows, I believe we should try and work with them more rather than push them away. I now expect a barrage of abuse about how we have tried that already,
oh and having met Matt Davison he aint a bad bloke............ oh ****e here we go lol

Spills, I dont doubt your approach mate and we are all for working with the club and whatever publicity we can get. However you cannot argue that RK have been given every opportunity to cover us in greater depth but venture no further than Dartford.
Agree that this weekend should in effect be judgement day for them, if they cant get a team there then why bother?
Fair comment mate, although I still dont think we should ban as I dont see what that will achieve.
I'm with you on this one Spills. RK might be the pits, but if we banned them from the ground, it could be detrimental to us. If and it's a big if, they turn up on Saturday, it could give us the exposure that we need. We require as much publicity as possible - that way, certain people out there will get to know how good Welling are doing.
Matt Gerrard who usually does Dover games will be at Welling and its one of the 3 featured games tomorrow , other two being Gills and Ebbsfleet.

Lets hope this is the start of Radio Kent getting behind us again. Years ago they were very good covering us.

Radio Kent are just jumping on the bandwagon, they will only send reporters to our non Kent Derby games if we stay in the top two places, last season they only covered one Bromley non kent derby & that was Maidenhead away when they won their first seven matches, then when they slipped up they didnt want to know. Unfortunatly we have to constantly out perform the other Kent sides to shame them into covering us. Bet Matt Gerrard is gutted at having to miss his beloved Dover to cover us though
Success always brings about bandwagons. Woking will have a lot more supporters than last season and will be accused of it but I think our bandwagon might pick up a few tomorrow. I hope so!!
It has just been reported on South East News that the BBC are cutting Radio Kent's budget by 19% so even less chance now of any decent coverage for us I would think.
They dont pay their reporters do they? but i suppose away games are now kapput as no expenses unless they can get a fan whos already going who will do it for nothing. Hopefull Davison goes and someone else comes in who wont go back on what they said on air.
