My reason for posting this message is to let you know that in mid July this year I offered my services to help the club achieve more advertising in the programme, together with selling space for hoardings inside and outside of the ground.
So far to date this has been a great success, and the club now has definite orders for 11 new programme ads, 8 pitch side hoardings, and 3 hoardings outside the ground near the bus stop.
Several companies are in discussions with me at the present time, and hopefully these will reach a successful outcome.
This is where I now need your help.
If you know anyone who may be interested in having a sign board, please contact me with their details, and I shall give them an offer they find hard to refuse.
Eric...whilst I cant help you regarding companies....what I have to say is how fantastic the work you have done is for the cause!!!!......Is just shows that there really is money out there...it is just perseverence that makes it happen....errrr...or do you threaten to sing???...LOL!!!
Yes indeed well done Eric. Also cannot help with companies but am worried about you making the offer they can't refuse. Are you taking over from a certain Mr.Brando in Godfather-The Welling Years?
I have done all my singing Mark...you will be glad to know, and yes Squarevanman "I realise this does sound a bit suggestive having read it through again".
Well done Eric. Was fantastic to see the new boards up at the ground today. The club needs to make friends in the business community and work with them to maximise the benefits of their advertising. I feel sure this is the model that clubs like Stevenage have used to push their way forward. Not saying we could get where they are but lots of little bits add up.
Theres still a few more Eric is working on, we found 3 good sites on the main stand side today one is a great site for Video exposure on side of club shop. Im sure Eric will soon knock that one out.
The amount of boards this season is superb and unlike SOME other clubs these are current and paid for. Visiting some other grounds this season i was told that they havent been paid at some grounds but they look better if you leave them up or it would look silly with 2 or 3 boards there.
I prefer Eric's way, pull down those that aint paid for this season and sell the space to people.
Well done Eric, keep it up.

I appreciate your kind comments regarding the new boards that have began to appear in our ground, but may I point out that this is not " a one man show".
When you take on a task of this size then teamwork is the answer, and I truly thank the supporters that have helped me so much behind the scenes by giving up their time preparing the artwork for the sign writers, helping to fix the boards in their correct positions, giving advice and coming forward with suggestions etc, and very importantly giving me possible "leads" to follow up. All these areas have to be addressed and with plenty of help it enables me to visit more potential clients, which believe me is very time consuming.
It is very rewarding to bring in any form of advertising in the present financial climate, and we have some very interested businesses in the pipeline who I am certain will come on board, given the very attractive deals they have been offered. It is so important for every client who advertises with us that they can see there is some reward for them to enhance their business in some way. It must be a "two way thing", to attract their interest.
Our packages on offer do just that. we as a club are in the fortunate position of selling our advertising space, knowing that the public can view our ground very clearly from the upper deck of the buses that stop outside our ground, so it is imperative that we use this tool to convince our advertisers that it is both of us that hopefully gain from the experience.
Please keep me informed of anyone who you know of that may be interested in advertising with us, and most of all, support those that do advertise with us then we shall all reap the rewards in the future.
Our team have done us proud on the pitch, so what would be more gratifying than to see our club move forward, and give them the full support that they deserve.
The logos appearing at our ground Russ are one of the suggestions put forward by one of our supporters who has helped me a great deal behind the scenes. We just felt it was a fine way of improving the appearance of the pitch side advertising.
Please keep me informed of anyone who you know of that may be interested in advertising with us, and most of all, support those that do advertise with us then we shall all reap the rewards in the future.
When I had laptop problems recently I used a company (PCUK) who advertise in our programme and I told them why I was using them.
When I next have a need for a plumber I shall try Frank Priston before others.
