Im keeping my views to myself on the whole and waiting for others views.

But asking for £15 (Graham H? as it says Welling agreed the figure) and Choosing 1pm (Deffo Graham H - according to Huddersfield Secretary) will DRASTICALLY reduce the attendance AND make it harder for Wings fans to get to the game. I fear we have shot ourselves in the foot badly.....Thoughts?

Can i also add i dont give a toss, just drawn £500 for the weekend hotel and game and beers and i can see it is a hard decision for The Wings, Personally i think a 3pm Kick off and £10 adults would have seen over 300 Wings "Supporters" and a crowd of 7500-10000. Home fans will think twice about paying nearly fullwhack to see Welling. BUT could go in our favour 3 or 4 thousand there no atmosphere and we dont feel the pressure of a "Big" match.

Thats a nice change!

£15 quid is stupid. 1PM is stupid. You cant get train. Saturday trains are expensive, hotel is nothing however. to train/hotel it saturday/sunday is £80 odd quid before you think about food and the £100 odd on beer. Just not doable with weymouth week after also.

I could see a big crowd of 500+ away before but with just coach and drivers i can see it closer to 300 now. That is pretty poor since we took 100 to dorchester.

didn't ever expect 7500 but thought 5000 might have been a fair shot now think 3500-4000 max. however if you do do the maths thats alright for us since we make more. However it does cut massively on the charlton etc fans who would lend us their voices for the game and hampers atmospere. (and the odds of getting some sort of result?)

Now it looks like we aren't on tele any chance of asking very nicely if we can move later on in the day?

Whilst i think of it however the fa don't like the devaluing of the fa cup and i know they do get the huimp when ticket prices are dropped so they too could have insisted on keeping them near normal prices

A Sunday kick off at 1.00pm and charging £15, £10 and £5 is asolute madness. We can't do anything about the Sunday kick off as the ever delightful BNP are marching/stirring up racial hatred in another part of West Yorkshire on the Saturday but surely the clubs must realise that the place is going to be like a morgue.

Town have around 9000 season ticket holders, they'll have to pay on the gate and never like doing that, it's going to take some work to convinve them that they should come along and it looks like both clubs are doing their level best to put people off coming.

Even if it gets on the telly it's going to look embarrassing for both clubs; Town may even keep two or even three of the stands completely closed to reduce costs as they do for the reserves. I was really looking forweard to playing Welling but this is just turning into a joke.

Town don't listen to us, is there any presuure you can put on your club?

You are having a laugh Cleck!... contact our club???? Say they are  wrong??, they will ban fans and slag them off if you disagree with them.

Give him a call Graham Hobbins (Owner) or Barrie (His Co Owner Brother) at the Club 0208 301 1196  In fact get all Town fans to call him we can get this changed to 3pm and a tenner for adults.

Bang goes my theory about conference clubs being more in tune with the fans!

We may have lost any floaters who might have come for the novelty value as well, Bradford City have just announced that it's £10 in for adults etc for their 3.00pm game. Most Town fans live in between Huddersfield, Bradford and L**ds and any mates or kids that they might have been bringing along will probably choose to see an all 1st Division tie (yes the stereotypes about being tight are true)

On a 5000 crowd then, we stand to make £5000?

Anything to keep JgFC away?

All that Graham/Barrie can think about is, the decent sandwiches that league teams make.

When will he learn that they are comparitively more skint than us?

We've shot ourselves in the foot again, and done Huddersfield a huge disservice in the process.

Surely £5k with 11,000 is better than £5k with 5,000 watching?

Kinky we get about 45% of gate receipts

Roughly if 5000 pay £15 we will earn £33,000 ish

If 7500 pay £15 we get £50,000 (Probably about what we will get i think)

If 8000 pay £10 we would earn £36,000

IF 15,000 paid a Fiver we would earn £33,000 ish

So you can see Hobbins is going for Guaranteed windfall assuming 5,000 turn up rather than having a tenner a pop and only 5,000 turn up still. Over 5,000 turned up when we played Reading at the Madjeski 2 or 3 seasons back, add this to the 20 odd grand we have from the FA cup this season plus possibilities of the live bbc 1 game (Another £50,000 Plus IF we get shown live) and you can see why hes done what hes done. I suppose i havent got too many concerns abbout the £15 BUT Huddersfield say Wellings preference was 1pm kick off and that will cost a lot of wings fans in Saturday train fares AND Hotel accommodation. So we've been screwed. Had it been 3pm we could have got train there and back in same day. Piss Poor excuse that we could travel back most of the journey before it gets dark!! - More likely the club earn a bit more from coaches AND possibly get the live BBC Game at 1pm by getting in first (and at this stage only Match) at 1pm Kick Off

Huddersfield fans posting on their message board are unanimous in their condemnation of the £15 ticket price and there is a reference to them needing the money.

What I find perplexing is that if the statements I've seen are correct the ticket pricing is apparently agreed by the clubs involved and then approved by the FA.  This gives rise to the ridiculous situation where our supporters have to pay £15 whilst the all League 1 clash just down the road, Bradford v Tranmere, is £10.  Why can't the FA who have the final say on the ticket price and whose competition it is set a common ticket price for each round?  This gets rid of the necessity for clubs to negotiate; avoids variations in cost like the 33% detailed above; establishes a value for different stage of the competition (like the prizemoney); and gives all supporters one point of reference to petition (The FA) if they consider the ticket prices to be too high rather than coming out and criticising their club over the negotiated ticket price.

I believe that the extra fiver will only have a very marginal, if any, impact on our support.  The two issues which I feel may well reduce the hoped for number of travelling supporters are the relatively short time frame between 2 long distance away Cup fixtures and the fact that rail travel on the day is not possible because of the 1pm kick off.  The Club have arranged coaches at a very reasonable cost (subsidised for sure) but long distance coach travel is not everyone's cup of tea.

A bit belated in posting but I wanted to know what the HTAFC supporters were saying and I had problems with my registration to their site.

Whatever the level of support I'm sure they will get behind the lads and will give Huddersfield fans a run for their money in the vocal stakes.
