The BNP/NF rally (they both wanted one to spite each other) has been banned.
Keighley was the chosen destination for both gangs anyway, but YES, Huddersfield may well be the place they pop-in to if they decide to go anyway. That will be saturday afternoon, before we arrive
It is a nice town besides of that (though it is unlikely the fascists wil actually turn up,) so I would recommend a good old fashioned Mockney knees-up on the night before, if we can agree on a venue between the 15 chisms between us.
Asthetically, it is quite a stunning place to visit, the train station itself is stunning piece of [Victorian?] art. I know it's sad, but that is the thing that struck me most, next to the sight of the stadium itself.
Obviously, for financial and possibly sectarian reasons, the club has asked for a specific time and price that suits them that may well infringe upon our time there.
Can I please suggest, that anywhere in Yorkshire/Lancashire (do not go as far as Liverpool) would be a good place to stay prior to the game. It would be brilliant if we were all there the night before if possible, as Huddersfied is a pleasant enough place and may well tickle the younger fans among us for its Englishness, and no doubt the locals would be endeared to us anyway.
This of course, does include the town which is vibrant etc, and has a very pleasant Asian contigent who will be slightly bemused if not welcoming, of our very own novelty pressence.
Could someone please suggest a place to visit/get pissed so we could all get a sight of each other? Obviously, PVR s too difficult a place, but Timothy Taylor's (a real ale) may well bring us all together for atleast a day?
Great idea Kinky, If people are going up on the Friday or saturday post in here. Im still fluid, maybe stoke or birmingham before but could also be Huddersfield or Yorkshire. Maybe we can get a group discount at a hotel or B&B if enough are up for it?

Manchester is a good place for the night before (Curry Mile, Rusholme is great,) but a decent hotel in Manchester (like IBIS £51.10 for a good double,) get swallowed up by guys from Torquay going to watch Salford United while eating prawn sandwiches a year in advance! (so check it, it's only 15mins on the train to 'uddersfield.)
