You wont see a poorer decision given this season than that 1st pen. Truly shocking given the ref's position and how the ball changed path to signal a clean tackle. I am sure the ref will be very embarrassed when he sees it again. The 2nd pen was dubious but they fall under the cateogry of "seen them given"

Looking back on the highlights it struck me how well Pires and Fazakerley played.

You can sometimes sypathise with the officials when they don't get a clear view of things but how much closer did the ref have to be to see it was a fair tackle.

Why was Pires booked? On first seeing it I thought maybe he'd handled the ball but in the slow-mo you can see he did nothing wrong.

I hope the ref does see the vid and has the guts to admit he was totally wrong.

Toatlly agree with the above, if this clown never appears again it will be too soon.

Tom-is it possible to put a line across the Pires offside in the first half- I was in line and it looked good at the time but then again I may havae had the same glasses on as the man with the whistle

Nope as when he comes into shot hes offside but thats a good 2 or 3 seconds after the long ball. I didnt think he was offside.

As ive said time and time again, when Loick keeps going no one can handle him, hes brutal.

People have a go at refs and if there are any lacking integrity they will be one in a hundred or so.. but when they are very familiar with the oppo and their players then when positioned like he was and still gave a penalty... it doesnt look good, but they bring it on themselves.

A quite pathetic decision where you struggle to see from his view how he could possibly give a penalty. Thats what enrages supporters.

One ref got demoted last year after a performance at Welling.. I hope this guy follows suit, that decision COULD have cost us promotion or play offs like Holderness' red card at Bromley cost us a place in the cup.

Refs can ruin entire seasons with one disgraceful decision, if they arent good enough... go and ref schools football.

Pires was booked for the number of fouls committed.  The referee warned him on the previous foul.

I think that Loick was usually the victim rather than the offender for some of the 'fouls' the ref penalised him for.  Pretty harsh booking as I don't think he did much wrong during the game.  Healy was lucky not to get booked for a tackle early on.

Agreed. If someone had tackled one of our players like he did their number two, we would have expected a pamphlet to be shown.

7 seconds into the video you see the Dorchester 5, Walker , shaking hands with the ref for so long it's as if they're holding hands! Intimidation? If it was, it certainly worked. What a truly crap decision for that first penalty.

Pires was booked because Walker told the ref to book him - the ref wasn't going to do anything until he was told to.
