I HAVE SEEN MANY CLUBS OVER THE YEARS HAVE MASCOTS FOR THEIR FOOTBALL CLUB. I WAS WONDERING, WHY CANT WE? WHY DONT WE GIVE THE KIDS SOMETHING THAT THE PLAYERS EXPERIENCE EVERYWEEK. WALKING OUT OF THAT TUNNEL WITH THE LADS AND HAVING A PRE-MATCH KICK ABOUT ON THE PITCH. JUST A THOUGHT

We  do young man it costs I think £75 includes kit, programme and tickets to the executive lounge. Full details can be obtained from the club owners during normal office hours. You may recall we had a mascot at Dover game plus at least one other game so far this season.

Knock £25 off that price and I think we'd gave more people interested. £75 seems quite steep!

I imagine the kit costs £40 upwards, and the two match tickets (I assume a mascot wouldnt arrive on his own for the day) will put another £20 on at least. Yes, £75 is a lot of money, but I think its about right. Im sure its more at other clubs.

Id put the lack of take-up down to poor communication and publicising again, as with a lot of things, Blonde Kid in the Hoodie didnt know we did it, neither did I, and it strikes me that he would have mates of the 8-15 age group that might want to do it .. and Ive a 10 year old son who might want to, but no-one knew it was on offer ??

My son was mascot at the Maidenhead game this season and the cost is £75 not including kit which we purchased as a birthday present for him. This includes four lounge tickets which are £20 each I am a lounge season ticket holder so no real need of all four but he had a great time having a kick about on the pitch while the players warmed up and got to lead them out it seems a bit dear but as a one off Birthday treat I was willing to pay it.

What if, say I wanted to do it which I would love to,I would purchase the kit as part of the deal, I wouldn't use the executive lounge tickets because I find it much better in the terraces and I'll pay a little for e kick about warm up and programme. So I would be charged about £50 and they are trying to chug me £75 without a kit

As I said in my original reply to you full details are available from the club owners during normal office hours. I assume you are on half term this week and therefore in an excellent position to make contact with them.

With respect those of us who post on here are not the owners of the club, we cannot speak as to what the owners may say. You must contact the club and ask for yourself. If you are that desperate (and good luck to you) 2 hours out of your day is a small price to pay.

75 quid seems ok for the mascot deal. Im not sure the club should contemplate accepting anyone turn up and pay £30 for a kick about on the pitch with the players in a make your own deal kind of way.

£75 for the leading out of the team, kick about, line ups, exec lounge passes etc would seem a good deal, we just need to get it out there.

Yes totally agree, I think its a bargain to be honest although I suppose if you supply your own kit a discount might be possible. When you look at what at what other clubs charge I think all of our sponsorships are pretty reasonable.
