We've a great young team/squad with lots of footballing ability, we all knew that. But the comments and way these guys come out with their quotes in interviews after games and in the paper (Parky recently and now Pugh) is even better. The team spirit really is there, they all signed en-mass last summer to give it another crack and they all seem committed to seeing it through.
This just confirms the calibre and maturity of Andy Pugh the man and, indeed, all of our players who have stuck with us through troubled times. Nobody begrudges them a move (at the right price!) into full-time football because they have demonstrated their commitment to the Wings. Good on you Andy.

Every time Jamie has been linked somewhere hes come out quickly and said ive not talked to anyone and im not going anywhere. Ok theyve all been around our level and it may be different if it were a league club or big premier club but its great when they come out and dont pull punches and say im not moving sideways. We all know if a decent side at a higher level come in then they will go if everything is right for club and player. No one would be upset if that happened as theyve all played with a straight bat from the off and committed to us.

Got to say that I have a lot of admiration for all of them and interviews like this just reinforce that.
I did think that, at last year's presentation do, that I might not see a few of them again in a Welling shirt (and I said as much to a few players) but their loyalty and committment to WUFC has never been in question. I think a lot of credit must go to Daisy and his backroom team as well for this.
