So did I. I hope he is not given a tough time as he didn't ask to be released.

I'll never forget his goal celebration when he jumped the hoardings and ran into the terracing.

Really? Are you sure it wasn't clapping the away support whilst being carried off on a stretcher?

That was against Chelmsford at Billericay when Wayne Brown scored the winner in the last minute.

Didn't he also get involved with the crowd while at Margate?

The fact he's at Thamesmead says everything about his attitude and nothing about his ability.

Are you confused? You seem to be on about the time we played Chelmsford at Billericay and Russ and I distracted Ian Cambridge at the near post. Wayne Brown headed home unopposed; cue players and crowd celebrating culmulating in Scott Lindsay relieving Kev of a tooth.

Going back to the earlier comment, I think you were trying to say that Dean Standen was applauding the crowd while being stretchered off. Your wording implied that he was applauding the crowd principally and stretchered off (as a result?).

Think he was always a crowd's favourite but never quite reached his potential. Didn't he go to Luton at some point?

I'm sure someone can enlighten me on the last point

He did indeed go to Luton BKK.

I think Russ hit the nail on the head a matter of attitude and not ability. It would appear that the potential was there but not the required attitude and 100% committment to realise that potential and hence his fall down the football ladder.

Almost as if to prove everyone's point the Ryman League website suggests he was sent off last Saturday (although there ws no mention of his dismissal in the NLP).

Ashley Proberts, who was on Welling's books for a while, is their regular left back.
