Hopefully should be  a good game over in 'East Thurrock', should take a fair amount of fans there too.

Does anyone know how much it will cost a yoof to get in?

According to their website normal entrance for students is £4 can't imagine they would charge much more than that.  Normal adult rate is £9 if anyone is interested.

An alternative route for anyone living close to the 132, 422 or 486 bus routes is to take a bus to North Greenwich then the Jubilee Line to West Ham then the train and 100 bus.  There are no engineering works planned for the Jubilee Line this weekend.

Sorry for a consecutive post but been googling again (I can as I am over 21).

See East Thurrock played Thamesmead last Saturday. Winning 2-0 with a crowd of 61.

Woefully poor and cold, defence is so bad at the moment and it has to be resolved as a matter of emergency.

Even though he is not a defender we are missing Louis Faz badly. Just hope he is fit soon.

On a personal note to the forum poster who sat behind me today. The hood on my Welling Jacket was not there for use by you as a rubbish bin. One cup found in it upon taking off.

Too naive and got bullied never had the balls to fight today, thought we tried but we weren't up for a battle. Defence looking really shakey. Need faz back and prob Sammy at center half with Jack in midfield. Thought pughie ran hid heart out and loick did ok first half. Maybe try Jordan midfield on left and jack Taylor must be worth a look he did well in cup game. Gutted today we still let teams get into the ref and we knew denagrain is useless. Extended Frank interview with Jamie up late and highlights sometime tomorrow.

Proper f***ing sh*t. Again.

As said above we let them bully us and we let them bully the ref. But what was that second goal all about? Why pass the ball back to the keeper on a pitch like that? Even allowing for Thomas's cr*p kick there was still the chance to clear it but messed it up and gave away yet another stupid free kick outside the box. And then Thomas stood behind the wall as everyone on the terraces could see where the ball was going to go.

Number of clean sheets away from PVR this season: 0 (zero). That has to change.

Jamie mentions the 2nd goal and your point Russ, also he throws down the gauntlet to his players... interview should be up in just over an hour. 6 minutes and hes been very frank and his interview may surprise some fans and some players.

We did not deserve to get anything from this game.  With the exception of Andy Pugh who had another excellent game, it seemed that our players did not want to win the game as much as the East Thurrock players did.

The defence certainly makes a lot of errors at the moment and Ben Martin in particular must have worries about his form.  We are desperately missing Faz and the midfield is not as effective when Parky is playing at the back.  The biggest concern though has to be the keeper.  Week after week we see opposing keepers playing well against us making ours look second best.  If Whitehouse is not fit soon, I think Jamie must be considering giving Taylor a chance or bringing someone else in.

On another point, almost every week there appears to be criticism of the ref on this forum, often with justification, but I actually thought that the ref today had quite a good game and got more right than wrong.

Two tough away games next week and Jamie has to try and find a way of making the players believe that they can start winning away from home again.

Taylor is a center half and our academy keeper is nowhere near good enough and very young. Doesnt matter who the keeper is if you are going to get turned by pub teams or give stupid free kicks all the time.

I think we dont have belief, scrap training and watch dvds of us pummelling teams last season. St Albans or Stortford away. Get some belief back in the players, they are looking low on confidence which is ludicrous, whilst we havent been playing great we are SECOND in the league and have ground out results and are having a great season overall.

Well.....I need some answers to a few questions....1. Why obersteller on bench....2. Why cumbers on bench.....3. Why Sambrook not on bench when apparently fit......4. Why we can't play on the ground and have to hoof it against supposedly weaker opposition.....we were lucky to have 11 men left today as well...Ireally hope we can get this sorted and quickly

In my opinion, we miss both full backs, especially Faz as he is doing so well. And as much as I do prefer Jack Parkinson in defence he does give added support in mid field. A lot of what I saw yesterday was about the number of goal scoring opportunities that we just didn't take.

Trigger youve hit the nail on the head, our below par performances are when teams pin back our full backs, close down quickly and flood midfield, or when we have the starting fullbacks unavailable. One way round this is get Healy and the midfield playing the clever passing triangles of last season with lots of movement and if the oppo want to foul us to stop us or break our belief, do what they do .....go down screaming or squealing and play the ref.

Our best moments yesterday were a move in each half where passing and movement sliced open East Thurrock EASILY, sadly we didnt try to or couldnt pass much more during the game but it would have destroyed them and we would have created more chances.

We are the best footballing side in this league and we are good enough to stick to our beliefs mostly and mix it up a little bit when its necessary.

Degnarain didnt have as bad a game as i thought, his one main thing was falling for East Thurrock screaming for everything from the off. The bigger decisions he seems to have got right so hes coming down from the higher reaches of pathetic referees and leaves Holderness, and two others i wont mention as we are due them!! at the top of the tree for being inept. Well done Ashvin, my judgement was clouded as i thought you got Pires decision wrong.  Need to be a bit stronger and not allow teams to get in your face and also not fall for the squealing.

Good comments from both Trigger and Tom.

I would add that the pitch was the cause of some poor passing and poor first touch control.

And yes the Thurrock team as a whole played the officials and caused both ref and assistants to hurry decissions.

Welling players are, in my opinion a class above these type of tactics.

but perhaps we need to learn to play tricky and smart a bit more.

I said in an earlier post that we have excellent defenders and I see sometimes we are a little slow to to see danger.

Jamie knows all these things and I have faith the management team and players will work hard to improve our total game.

We have come too far to let things slip now.

Lets not forget the good job being done and the team spirit that has developed since Jamies arrival.

We as fans will support and do our part right through the season, together.

We are lucky, I believe we have a playing squad and managment team of Welling United fans, just like us.

Degnarain also took charge of the Woking away game which Welling won 5-0. As far as l can remember, he had a good game that day!

good point about the players, you get the impression that the team name means someting and they want to do well for the fansm we are miles clear of 6th place, so lets just crack on and let them all worry about us. We are a young team and they are still developing and they will be eager to bounce back.

no reason not to go to basingstoke and pick up another 3 points.... that will be brutal for teams like basingstoke and dover who simply have to close ground. id rather be us with our team and the points we have. lets nick some points this week then we have two enjoyable games against Dartford to savour.

Corrected for truth :D Not worried about the Thurrock result at all. Will always be hard to play good passing football on a cow field like that and win against a nasty little bunch of squealing scrotes like Thurrock. No big deal. Basingstoke we can beat and Dartford aren't a problem :)
