Nice to have one of our players in there. Seems to be some good up and coming forwards in the lower leagues.

It also says to watch out for Dogkilla, especially when there are Victoria sandwiches around.

I can see players getting offers come in soon. What we need to be very careful is not let them go for 3 or 4 weeks wages. 1 its an insult 2 you have no chance of replacing them 3 other clubs will do the same thinking our players are available for loose change.

Teams have paid good money for players at our level, Sheringham, Birchall etc etc, it would also be foolish to say our players are more than good enough to play in the league and let them go for less than the going rate.

I think 25k is a figure that is low enough not to hold them back and high enough to free up a little of the dosh to replace them, even if we have to take a punt on someone starring below whos club want 2 or 3k for them. i think most people think 25k is a fair price to the buying club, our club and the player themselves.

Parkinson has had more improving and developing since the reported fee agreed in pre season so any fee should rise as a consequence. We have strikers who would by the virtue of being scorers mean they would start at the 25k ish fee.

If Pires or Pugh left for less i would feel weve been mugged, both could walk in a conference team and i also feel League 2 and both are young and have any improvement in them.

We are going to need them anyway in the Premier next year.

Weve seen clubs take the we we with us re taking players on week long trials and playing them, Jim Parmenter at Dover went the other way and put a huge valuation on and still had 3 clubs haggling for Birchall and paying a more than fair price for someone who is a few years older than our lads.

Absolutely no need to put a silly valuation on them but we need to not be bent over and say come again.
