How does it work at the moment then? Is it printed and supplied by a company who take a cut? I reckon I'd be more inclined to buy a programme ( I don't always ) if I knew the club were benefitting more from the sale.
Its a commercial transaction Ben. We submit the copy, the printer charges us for printing the programme and we make a profit or loss depending on how many copies are sold.

Hornchurch bought a decent printer and produced their own glossy programme. If we arent making much now, we COULD look at in house printing and producing of the programme.

I think the more important part is we have a new programme hut thanks to Peter and his team. This will mean our Programme seller does not get wet.
With regard to the OP I am afraid I have never been one for programmes even though I am a collectorholic with other things. However if an in house programme was produced I would purchase but would not expect to pay more that £2.
I stopped buying programmes a few years back. The only thing that was of any interest to me was the team selection and that's posted on the wall near the club shop. Any info I require about the opposition I can get online.
I only have one programme. Welling United v Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup 3rd round and I'll gladly donate that to the next WUSA organised auction.
While I can see that there are a number of advantages in home produced programmes, I hope that the club does not go down that road. The programme is the image of the club given to visiting supporters and I feel that at BSBS level or above it should produce a programme as professional in appearance as possible. It is noticeable that most of our promotion rivals, particularly Chelmsford, Dartford and Sutton, produce very high quality professional looking programmes which would rank with the majority in Blue Square Premier.
I think the majority of clubs in our league now charge £2.50 and I would imagine it's very likely that will be the price next season whether the programme is home produced or not.
Clearly home producing programmes must have its problems as Thurrock appear to regularly sell out of programmes about 30 minutes before kick-off whenever their gate exceeds about 200 to the annoyance of home and away supporters alike and the complete horror of any visiting groundhoppers. Taking into account that there are less people working for the Wings than most other clubs at this level, who would have the time to do the additional work involved?
Greendale, i think most of the work is done by the contributors already and the printer just slots it in and prints the copies off. There are loads of bespoke Desktop Publishing softwares that would do the job probably as good as the printer uses.
Our programme is decent i think. I was looking at it at a financial angle, if we make little, here is an opportunity to make a few hundred a game which could bring in a player or two extra next season.
Obviously if you would lose sales due to being in house printed it would defeat the object.
