Helps us v Chelmo next week as well I guess. Pugh, if you read this, you are better than Cambridge !!! Stay til the end of the season, bang in 30 league goals and get League One or League Two and more money as a result.
Thats what i would do Kev. I do think that we will be ok as Wazza, Loick and Luis will score plenty, i just want the uncertainty over and Pugie to either go or be back in the team ASAP. Give Cambridge a date and if they aint signed him then stick Pughie in the team, as hes being paid to score for us not be wrapped in cotton wool so he can complete a medical for some one else.
Despite their manager gobbing off about us, i think our club have acted professionally here in allowing Pugh to get 110% fit for a medical, my own personal opinion is if cambridge hadnt come sniffing that Pughie would have scored in our last two games for us.

Bakare was non contract so would not have commanded a fee. He is also younger and won't expect to be part of the first team squad immediately and may not even be on a full contract. If he doesn't make it there it will cost them nothing.
He has just signed for Macclesfield from Chelmsford!!
Well done to him that should help us when we play them in a frew week's time. Dose any one know how much he went for? but i sill think pugh is better and i am not just saying that because i am a welling fan but. I am not surprised he as gon to a better club beacuse he as been scroring lately.
Yeah I remember Bakare. He scored for us when we put 7 past Weymouth, and scored the last goal of the game. And that was his problem, he would score when the pressure wasn't on him. He did have talent though.
Nobody knew (or took the time) to find out where to play him. He was quick. young and showed occasional signs of class but was a very rough diamond. One of those that slips through the net, like Sam Saunders and Paul Lorraine.
