Yes this is the Under 18s team that plays in the Kent Youth League North.

Yes this is the team with Ryan Flack, Jack Kensington and pretty much all the names who appeared on the team sheet at Dover and Kingstonians. The team currently plays at Camdale Road, however due to poor pitches and just a poor look of the place an alternative is currently being arranged.

All our fixtures including Cup and League games can be found on www.kentyouthleague.co.uk under Under 18s North and all up to date info can be found on the Under 18s website, via the link from the main website next to the 'Forum' tab.

The boys are very passionate about playing for Welling and a squad that consists of all first years, baring Ryan and Steadman.

A very promising bunch of lads.

Also, by FAR the best team at this age group, judging on our current progress in Leagues and Cups, possibly the best Under 18s in Kent

After a hard though first half which saw the scores level at 1-1, the boys came out the second half and swept Enfiled off the pitch with 4 stunning goals running out comfortable 5-1 winners. Enfield was by far the best side we played this year and played some fantastic football. A credit to how well the second half response was.

This now sees the Kent Youth League boys into their second semi final of the season, plus a quarter final match against Lordswood in the coming weeks, and sitting 1 point clear at the top of the Kent Youth Lague North with 5 games in hand.

Well done lads and lets get some support down for a superb set of footballers.

Danny

A couple of things, well a few things. Well done for the info, as without it we havent got a scoobie about the youngsters.

Is this the Sunday Under 18s in the kent league? Where is their home ground? Is this the team that Ryan Flack plays for? Ive heard this group are our best team at that age group?

I'm sure if the lads were playing local and people had advance warning that they would get support especially if there were regular updates of news. Cray Wanderers in the Kent League get more than our tennants turning up to watch them.

Have seen part of one of their games when Gary and myself took "the shop on tour". Agree with Danny from that one small part a very good team. Impressed with the keeper who was constantly communicating with his players. Keep up the good work you never know what can happen next season.

I thought the Welling U18's who played at Dover did well despite being much smaller than the Dover Academy players.

After that, I looked up details on the website and noticed that some of the players have played in county representative teams.

The home ground is somewhere in Plumstead so they would benefit by finding somewhere a little closer to Welling when hosting games.

I didn't realise that they are a Sunday team.

The U18's have several Kent FA, Schools and London players. Ryan Flack, Steadman Callender & Harry Cullum all play for Kent Schools, Josh Patrick,Matt Raffle, Jack Stevens, Jack Kensington and Richard Jimoh all play For Kent FA, Ryan & Steadman have also played for London FA. It would be fantastic for some of the Wings fans to come and watch the lads as they have several very important matches soon.blankstare
