I know this may be seen as a betrayal by some but leaving aside the loss of a local derby I think I'd rather Dartford went up than Woking. Before anyone slags me off can I just point out.

1. It's Woking - it's always been personal with Woking

2. Woking are far more "we're a big club" than Dartford. Yes Dartford play in Lego Park but Woking are in truth a league club with their big stand and the tin sheds and they don't belong in this league.

3. Their fans don't swap ends properly, so you are left with people in Woking shirts who don't seem to know any of the Woking team.

4. Dartford fans seem ok. In fact "Dartford will come in with all their money and get all our players by offering huge wages" except they didn't. So its quite difficult to get excited about the club from Plastic Park

5. Dartford isn't nice....but compared to Woking.

6. Dartford aren't Woking.

I agree 100% with your post Andrew.  Realistically it would need an unlikely complete collapse by both Woking and Dartford for us to have a chance of taking the title, so let's go to "We're too big for this tinpot league" Woking on Saturday and beat them and help Dartford to overhaul them and win it.

We can then of course repeat this win against them in the play offs and join the Darts in the Premier next season.  Derby games against Dartford (and Ebbsfleet) would certainly help next season and would compensate for trips to far flung places such as Gateshead and Barrow.

Well I have a slightly different view.......I personally would rather it be Woking and we beat Dartford in the play off final....that would do for me!!!

I think the nnumber of small minded dartford fans on the forums is one of the key elements

Having said that we go to Woking for all three points and see what happens...until it is mathmatically impossible then we still go for the league title

Dartford is personal, if you grew up in and around Dartford.

Talking about Lego, has anyone seen that monstrosity on Woolwich Common?

It really does look like a giant piece of Lego and it only cost £48,000,000.

Good news though is that when the games are over it's going to be moved to a permanent site.

Question: - Why not put it on the permanent site in the first place or was that too logical?

If we got beat by Woking its win win for Welling fans as it seriously hurts Dartfords promotion chances. Obviously i hope we win and win the league but i will not be crying if Woking get 3 points as it will be detrimental to those pillocks who support Dartford and have posted abuse on here and elsewhere usually under an annon name.

I do agree though if we draw them in the Play Offs we will beat them. We were the better team at home and away and they wont get away with it a third time.

Dartford to win the league over Woking? Not on your ******** nelly!!!

Spoiler

Who wouldn't be thrilled to open their curtains / blinds / repossession order corrugated iron door to see a nice big block of white lego with chicken pox?

Unfortunately, can't see Woking losing the title despite recent losses. However will enjoy nabbing 3 points of them saturday.. got to keep this momentum up

 1. What has been personal with Woking? They are miles away in a different county?! I have never ever seen the fuss about a rivalry with Dover. Has to be Dartford - always has and always will. They may not consider us as their main rivals (Ebbsfleet/Maidstone) but I certainly do.

2. Since Ponces Park came along Dartford are always lording it with how bloody marvellous their ground is.

3. Maybe they don't like sitting in the big White Elephant at the other end. I agree though that people who stay at the same end to antagonise the opposition fans we can do without.

4. Dartford fans seem ok?? have you read the messageboards at this level. Some of them genuinely revelled in it when we were weeks from going tits up.

5. Woking is like paradise compared to Dartford (admittedly Welling is hardly shangri-la on that score!)

6. I would rather it was Welling than either of the other two but take Woking every day of the week over Dartford. Besides we are going to win the play off final at PP and nothing could be sweeter than that!

For that money they built something that looks worse than the Woolwich Common Estate! Quite an achievement.

And if you know your history...................

It has to be Dirtford!!

The 5-0 win at Woking, and the beers in the Sovereigns afterwards, will always be special though.

All round arsenic sandwich of a choice if it isnt us and Sutton!

Think Dartford would be more likely to nick our players if they are a division above. However, if Dartford did do Woking and Woking screwed up the play offs it would provide a small shaft of light relief in a grim scenario!
