    Long Lane u18 3 Welling United u18 4 aet.

Congratulations to our under 18's side who reached the Kent Count Final  with a semi final win against Long Lane. Welling started the game well and soon went 1-0 up with a goal from Ryan Flack. Long Lane came back and found themselves 2-1 up only for Richard Jimoh to equalise. Long lane again broke and went 3-2 up only for the Wings to equalise again through an own goal. And so the extra time when the Wings scored the winner through John frost in the first half. The final will be against Dartford. No date as yet.

Ryan scored the first with a lob over the on rushing goalkeeper, but went off in the second half with a knock that he got to his ankle at sailsbury. Hopefully not to serious.

Well done.

I hope 120 minutes was not too much for Ryan Flack following another first team outing yesterday. I remember my PE teacher saying that a body needs 24 hours recovery time after playing a game and that those in the school team should not play for a Sunday team next day. Who knows what he thought about the old Christmas Day/Boxing Day reverse fixtures arrangements!!
