Looks like Basingstoke might claim 5th place. A win over us on sat and a Sutton defeat would see them 4th. Hope that doesn't happen as they are form team plus it's further to travel next weds!
Basingstoke draw if Sutton lose would put them 4th on goal difference wouldn't it? I will be seriously fed up if I end up in Basingstoke on a Wednesday night rather than Sutton. can see the smile on Mark X's face though......
A bit of a dilemma. Do we want to beat Basingstoke on Saturday in the hope that Chelmsford can beat Woking and put Basingstoke, undoubtedly the league's form team, out of the play-offs entirely, or do we hope that they finish 5th as they probably have the best chance of beating Dartford which would give us a home final if we get through? The one thing we don't want is for them to finish 4th.
Watched 2nd half of Dartford last night against Hythe in Kent Senior - Not impressed with Dartford, although did use lesser players fron there strongeat 16 man squad
Basingstoke could beat Dartford thus possibility of Home final play off if business done against Sutton
I think Sutton will win on Saturday and top 5 will stay as they are. I don't think Dartford will be looking forward to playing Basingstoke. Basingstoke are in form and if there was ever an incentive to beat them on Saturday it would be to keep them out of the play offs - Chelmsford are not in great form and would be less of a threat.
I would hope that they will bring a lot on Saturday which will help the bank balance.
Basingstoke beat Hampton 2-0 away last night and with a vistory last Sat. will certainly be up for it at the weekend. It could be us who may stand in their way.
Lets hope the boys are looking to sign off the season with a result.
Do we know who is suspended, frankly with the no of sending offs and 5x bookings we have had we would hardly be nominated for any fair play award
If rain is a prob then we can ask our chums at Thamesmead Town if we can use their fancy pants new 3G pitch .. We did bring a record crowd to their gaff last year on their "old turf" so they owe us one (presuming new pitch is open for use)
B11 bus from the end Upton Road , get to see some "sights" along the way
What happens is games get postponed on Saturday - waterlogged pitches or such like?
I know it is early days but pitch looked fairly good this morning when we were at the shop. Saturdays rain is (so I am told) not expected till after the game.
Chelmsford was in doubt yesterday......could potentially make things interesting in terms of scheduling play off games with really bad weather forescast tomorrow....Of course the Conference will have a brilliant contingency plan as otherwise they would be accused of not knowing how to organise a whatsit in a brewery and we all know that isn't true.

Presumably, as this does not affect who will come third and fourth, our game on Wednesday will go ahead regardless. It does mess up the everyone must kick off their last game at the same time ruling though, and the relegation issue could be affected as well.
