To the person on the Basingstoke forum who is talking about travelling to Welling using the North Circular Road or on the M25 passing the M11 turn off or of travelling by rail via Kings Cross, it is clear that you must be looking at entirely the wrong destination.
The train journey is quite straightforward. Travel from Basingstoke to Waterloo, go up the stairs and across the bridge to Waterloo (East) and take the train to Welling which will show on the boards as "Dartford train via Bexleyheath."
Hopefully many Basingstoke fans will make the trip as it all helps the bank balance!
The above is wrong. Please visit our ground at Welwyn as we need the money. The best way to get there is actually via the A303 Westbound only leaving once you hit Dorset.
Their goal sparked us into life a little, but we haven't played well; Cracknell and Baker have been poor. Could do with Healy being introduced second half.
Parkinson and Sambrook playing well.
Referee is awarding some soft free kicks - at least a couple of Basingstoke ones were dodgy and our penalty looked soft. I'm sure the highlights will pick up what happened.
We took a while to get the pace of the game as Basingstoke were pumped up. Thought after the first 30 mins we did a lot better and competed and mpore than held our own despite them having all to play for and us little, then the game seemed to just drift to the 1-1 finish wth both teams happy. Didnt think it was a penalty till i looked at half time and their defender was definitely pullng hard on Loick's shirt and its a penalty for me.
Hope Basingstokes striker is ok, The good thing is he was talking and he got on the stretcher himself.
Ref was Woking away last year, say no more.
Will get interviews up tomorrow with Dean Frost, Loui and Parky. Highlights will follow over next couple of days hopefully.
