Should they be expressing interest in a player (paragraph 4) before speaking to anyone or is this 'tapping'?
It's not tapping up unless they talk directly to Jack. We could say we want to buy some of their players and it wouldn't mean a thing. I would just like to say I want Woking to **** themselves and raid another club. Well at least they aren't getting Cumbers :D
Pires improved us, we improved him, we get a fee and possible sell on. Win Win, Jamie brings in someone else and we all move on.
Loick scored 20 goals in 2 seasons, which while good is not irreplaceable, if the man ive heard on the rumour mill comes in hes capable of that by christmas lol.
coyw, in daisy we trust.
Players come players go, the fans remain year on year.

The players contracts have expired and surely unless and until they sign an offer of renewal of contract they are free agents and can talk with any club and vice versa.

We have no choice....they are all out of contract. All we can do is offer contracts at the same or increased level to last year then if they go then take the fee!!!.....It is NOT tapping up....that applies when they are in a contract situation
I believe that Daisy will find others in fact I FIRMLY think he already knows who he wants and is awaiting who takes up the offers

I doubt we made much from the playoff final but don't try and tell me we didn't make any money from the home semi final match against Sutton.

I'm not entirely familiar with forum jargon, but I'm almost certain you're what's classified as "a troll".
Looking at twitter it does seem like Jack will be leaving - but he can do better than Woking.
He will do if they play him center half. Its up to hill wether he sees him as a defender or midfielder.
If he does we could benefit financially. I have a feeling Jack will be back at some stage in the future to play and coach. Hes been a great person around the club and i think you will see him around the club still when we are at home and they arent playing.
Slight kick in the nuts to go to Woking but thats life.

Surely Jack could have done better for himself than that??
If he wants to stay part time I suppose this is one option and at least it isn't D*******. Top bloke who always had time for the supporters and will leave a massive hole in the team.
Not a great day for us player wise. Let's hope for more positive news over the next few weeks.
Oh my god people these players have given us everything and they get an opportunity to go to a higher league THEY HAVE TO TAKE IT....
Nowt to do with the club and lack of ambition its to do with the players and there ambition and the fact they stayed for last season is a compliment to us and the club.
ID BE MORE WORRIED IF THE MANAGER LEAVES WITH HIS BACKROOM TEAM
I don't think anyone would have chosen to lose those players to Woking, however there are obviously good deals that suit both of them for whatever reason, and a massive opportunity for them to be put in a bigger shopwindow - hopefully with a sell on clause that could help us in the future.
Also, what a massive testament to the club that in one season we've had three players move up a league - who possibly could have moved up higher.

Would have assumed like FA Cup game - After cost incurred the surplus nis split between 2 teams except no money to FA
in reply to ashford wing jamie could do worse than take a gamble and take a look at lea dawson centre mid also plays for thamesmead , think he was their poty
I wish Jack and Loick the best of luck as individuals. Can't say the same for their club though. This is one case where I hope we don't get a friendly as part of any settlement.

From what I understood after expenses (and they must have been high as I saw 7 police wagons in the car park) 50% to the league and 25% each to the 2 clubs.

As suggested by Bruno, I would have thought little would have been made out of the decider but the Sutton home game should have made some money. Players did have to be paid for two additional weeks though, and that has to be taken into account.
How ridiculous that we get to the play-off final, in front of 4000 people, and make no money. Its true though, we wouldnt have made a dime after paying the players for that extra week. Imagine the final had been at home to Basingstoke, we'd have ended up making a loss !!

We would not have made a loss as we would have only had to give a percentage of the profits to the FA and Basingstoke, would not have needed the entire NW Kent police force in attendance, and would have kept all money spent in the bar/shop etc.
Yeah, point taken - no money from the gate is what I should have said. Dartford made a killing in that game, although not via the gate, 3200 home fans on the beer, burgers and programmes wont hurt the bank balance.
Would love to see us flyer 5000 homes 2 weeks before pre season and have 5000 at danson too with the pre season fixtures and a bit on last seasons successes. 2 sided A5 colour glossy. wouldnt cost a lot just need a few people to hand out.
Amazing though it may seem, people do not know a) we are there and b) we are decent in the grand scheme of things. Bearing how much we were stitched up in the final from start to finish, i wouldnt be surprised if we made nothing at all from it after "expenses".

I think bar proceeds at Ponces Park go to the council and it was a Conference, rather than Dartford, programme so they did not get the proceeds of that either.
Id be interesting in knowing the expenses that were paid out by Dartford for the game, and what they were spent on. I arrived at 2.55pm and it was the five people asking for tickets to be produced on the entrance to the car-park even before I hit the gates, as well as the two policeman sitting in the meat-wagon eating their lunch, that pi55ed me off.
