In lincs Guardian says he turned down an approach from Spalding United.

For the travelling he does he deserves a lot of credit turning this down when he could have played on his doorstep but CHOSE to play for us.

Top man.

Is indeed a top bloke.

Clarkie has time on the ball and I look forward to him in a wings shirt next season-glad to see he is dedicated to the team and will be a valuable asset next season.

Wondered how much they offered him though?

Glad he's staying :) He'll be captain next season won't he?

Without wanting to belittle Spalding United, Lee Clarke is at an age where he should be around his peak so would it really make sense to drop down to their level just for easier travel?

He may well be captain next season, and wil be pivotal in the team's push to continue to go one step further under Jamie Day's management team each year.

Sorry BBB but if we were allowed a vote on my 1st choice would be Lee Second preference Faz. But there again what do I know? As we say in the shop in Daisy we trust - everyone else pays cash.

i always think captain if possible be centre back / holding centre mid - see things better in a game

Also against Sutton and Dartford thought Ben was a mountain - also not a bad passes for a big man
