Billy never fulfilled his potential. Given the absolutre roasting he got at Tamworth and looked like a sunday pub player for the whole game its probably not surprising he didnt.
Probably the worst performance from a Welling player in history.
To develop and win 3 POTS awards then be released probably demotivated him. He never really went on to be anything that we would miss.

Agreed Tom, but the point remains that Parker hadn't even seen him play and made the decision to get rid of him, at 20/21 and having come off of a season of reasonable improvement.
Parker was a joke as a manager with the arrogance of a Premiership player. Fell out with Burgess and to be fair Burgess went on to help Braintree in to the Conference South and was a good player. Paul Lorraine made the unwise move of booking his holiday after the season had started - not the wisest move and, to be fair, never looked like becoming the player he has.
