Can't be there tonight due to work commitments. I hope the PVR faithful get behind the boys tonight, even if we have a slow start. It's been a bit of a dissapointing start to the season but we're still only 2 points off the play offs having played some of the better teams. 6 points in the next two games and we'll be right up there.
Come on lads, Up the Alamo-Up the Wings!

Need to crank the noise up as Eastbourne will bring about 6 fans. Team need to pass and move tonight, when we do we are very good. Need the fans to not start moaning if it doesnt come off early and get behind them.
Morale boosting win tonight and we are off and running.

Good point, but i hope that Jamie would of had a good long chat with players regarding Sat's performance. Also they need to play a pass and move game with none of that big long ball hoofing stuff, we need to play a 4-4-2 because when we play 4-4-2 we are unbeaterball.
Not a pretty game but then they were nothing special. Patchwork team but good to see Fraser Franks back as centre half as his rightful position. Louis Faz and Ross Lafayette put in good performances and maybe this together with a few people back in the coming games will help us up the table
Couldn't fault the commitment in that performance. Let's hope this puts an end to Franks having to cover other positions; we're so much better with him at centre back.
Lafayette was excellent; Hughes-Mason was full of running and troubled their defenders, even if he didn't often have an end-product. I'm not sure if a MOM was awarded tonight, but I would have given it to Fazakerley - he defended well and set up most of our best chances.
On a different note, the Eastbourne manager was a piece of work. It's one thing having a go at officials, but having a go at the St. John's Ambulance volunteers is something else.
I thought we played better in the 2nd half. Ross took his goal well. Also glad for Keiran that he scored, hopefully it will give him a confidence to go on score some more goals. Also thought Jon Main made a difference when he came on.
Their manager was moaning all game at the ref but did the same last season. Funny how their player got up and was desperate to get on pitch when it was clear the ref wouldnt send off Kinchy.
2 or 3 poor decisions yesterday i thought, Clarkie clattered one of their players 2 yards from ref and he ignored it and also Kiernan was felled in the box by a guy already yellowed and we didnt get a penalty and their guy wasnt sent off and we got a free kick on the edge of the box. There were some strong challenges from us but then again a few of theirs were also screaming under little or no contact tp get decisions or bookings for our players. They did it last season aswell.

A good win and fairly comfortable in the end. Good to see the lads respond after Jamie and Co must have torn them off a strip or two at the weekend. We can play better than that but the committment and effort were back from 1 to 11.
I was pleased that KHM scored his first competitive goal for us - the first of many hopefully. He missed a couple of decent chances in the first half but his work ethic and committment were first class all night and he deserved a goal for sheer persistence. Also have to mention the assist by Fazza for the first goal which was the pass of the season so far.
Hopefully we can kick on again on Saturday and that the injuries to Obo and Cumbers won't keep them out for too long....
we had no width and no midfield. turpin didn't play to bad but turns slower than a oil tanker at sea. ref was awful and many of our players got whacked. anwar, gorman, shepard, scowen to name a few. we will be very light at sailsbury unless the physio can work his magic. overall not a good night and to top it all the team coach gets a parking ticket
Much better and fully deserved the win. After criticising players after the woeful perforamce against H&Y I should have mentioned that Lafayette was one player who came out with credit from that game and he was again excellent last night. I am very optimisitic that Jamie may have a real gem here. He looks totally comfortable at this level. Between him and Faz for MOM for me although the two central defenders looked good. Franks looks in total control in central defence and for me should be first choice there every game. I hope he doesn't have to fill in for injuries in the future.
On a different note, the Eastbourne manager was a piece of work. It's one thing having a go at officials, but having a go at the St. John's Ambulance volunteers is something else.
On the contrary, I would have been doing exactly the same. What purpose do the St John's Ambulance have being there if someone is injured and they just stand and watch ?? If I'd been the one laying injured and they stood watching I would be annoyed to say the least.
There was also a point when Kinch made a bad foul, directly before being subbed, that was so bad the Eastbourne fans felt it justified to surround the referee, yet the injured player lay on the ground unattended for at least a minute. Poor from the ref.
Having a go at the officials is acceptable though it seems ??
A spirited performance from the team last night and a deserved 3 points. On another day the result would have been sealed in the first half with the number of chances that were created but it all came good in the 2nd half.
A tight call but I would have given MoM to Faz who had an excellent game.
More of the same on Saturday please.
