BREAKING - THE LATEST @TRUROCITYTWEET NEWS. After speaking with a spokesman for the administrator this evening, we've been told this.
A spokesman for the administrators say that they asked the Football Conference to consider reducing the financial guarantee thought to be around £50,000 - required by the Conference to allow Truro City to continue playing in the league.
The administrator argued that the amount being asked for by the Football Conference was unreasonable, and offered instead to pay a smaller amount that would both cover the costs of visiting teams and allow administrators more time to negotiate with interested parties.
But, after discussions this evening, the Conference rejected the administrator's proposals.
Administrators say they have now proposed a second plan to the Conference, and maintain that there are still parties interested in buying the club.
However, they also admit time is running out for the club.
Conference playing hard ball here, Whilst we dont know how much Truro offered to pay its clearly less than the Conference said is the amount needed to continue if a buyer isnt found by tomorrow lunch time. Also feel sorry for Dover fans, they are there on Saturday and still dont know if they have a game or not so if they get the green light everything will cost more for their trip down there as they havent been able to book the advance deals.

How can they justify 50k for a bond to cover travelling expenses. I can understand that clubs should not be out of pocket if they go bust but 50k seems excessive. I am sure clubs travelling down after Xmas have not made their arrangments yet.
I assumed that was to cover travel costs, running costs, wages etc. They can't just dump players who are on contract and replace them with cheap youngsters.
