Looking like game over. Administrator is on Radio now saying that she expects the Conference to expel Truro City from the conference league.

No bond, No buyer, no mans land says Kate Breeze the administrator.

Commiserations to staff, players and supporters alike.

It just seems strange that a club who won the FA Vase in front of what seemed like half of Cornwall as recently as five years ago couldn't sustain Blue Square South football.

Nobody likes to see any club in this mess (particularly for their supporters) but this saga has become a complete farce now.

Dennis Strudwick just said that Truro will be expelled from the conference before 2pm today.

They already agreed it last week he just needs the directors to confirm their previous agreement to expell Truro if they did not get a buyer or place the bond.

Really sorry for their supporters. Tough on them. My bank manager will be pleased with the money saved in not treking down there again.

Table will be interesting after all their points are deducted. Chelmo will drop a few places.

I wouldn't worry too much ... they've been promoted again to the Conf Prem according to the main football page on the BBC site

Sad to see them go ... just about the only team in our division that I haven't visited.

There is certainly more to come out regarding their whole ground situation. I have a suspicion that they are all being rather too 'nice' about it and need to start being a bit bloody minded against who stands to profit by getting a change of use on the ground vetoed by the council. 400 people petitioning the Council planning meetings normally causes a bit of a stir

A bit hard on those fans who were calling Heaney for what he now seems to be a while back, maybe not as hard on the others.

I note that Hereford seem to be a bit cash strapped at the moment and are facing a potential six figure shortfall next month. Wll be interesting to see if Mr Strudwick is as keen to apply the bond ruling to all members of his flock if they wind up in queer street or maybe we see if rules were being made up on the fly again?

In a perverse way it is actually financial doping by the Conference. By insisting on the bond when they may otherwise have been saved, those clubs who have already spent money get nothing monetarily and no points either. Those who have yet to travel avoid the cost which they may otherwise have accrued, thus gaining the financial advantage. If the League are so concerned about this, will they now reimburse those who have already travelled (with the same controls or lack of they were seeking to place on the bond).

It seems that Truro's game at Eastleigh tomorrow remains off despite their reprieve which is a pity as Eastleigh had kindly pledged to give all gate receipts from the game to the Save Truro City campaign.  I hope for the sake of their excellent supporters that the payment of this bond money does not become just another short term reprieve and that someone now comes into the club who along with the Administrator can sort out the huge debt problems that the club still has. 

Maidenhead must be very pleased with this latest news too as it means that their 8-0 win is not wiped from the records.
