One of the decent away days, nice ground and bar , decent fans, pitch was superb last season. We usually do ok there.

Interesting how we line up at the back and up top, with Kurtis Guthrie returning, he looks skillful and a right handful whos scored 6 goals in 13 appearances this season (Baths fans are gutted he was released and not given a contract extention he needed to stay in Bath), along with Ross who has been simply top class this season we could kick on now and be a real handful up front. Plus i think the gaffer is back after his 3 game ban. We always seem to have more tempo and belief when hes in the middle.

Really looking forward to the game despite some people getting the violins out, we are in 6th despite a blip and close to the 2nd place team and the gaffer has given the team a kick up the arse and brought in a decent striker.

I dont believe it, one of my favourite fixtures and Im working. really sorry to be missing this one. Havant look like they are having problems.

And I totally agree with your observations, and let me just say, I recon the attitude of the whole team will have improved.

Ditto mate... COYW

Never understood why they seem to struggle every year. I assume this isnt going to help them for the rest of the season. I can see a lot more clubs having the problems they, and we, have in recent times in the next 2-3 years.

Was a bit of a war of attrition on a bog of a pitch, We were under the cosh first half of the second half without them creating chances, Then we took ours and saw the game out comfortably.

Gallagher was immense at center half, McLaren was solid as a rock at full back and Kinchy stood up and dug in and was everywhere and stopped them.

Back 5 looked very solid today and proved we can shut teams out, Jamie asked that they grew up and concentrated and they did that for 90 minutes. Ross did what he does, give him a chance and he will bury it.

Interviews with Jamie Day, Man of match Jake Gallagher and Ben Martin will be up tonight and highlights will be up very late tonight or tomorrow morning.

Might be a bit shaky first half... as nowhere for tripod in gantry and was enclosed so couldnt see a lot of pitch so sellotaped camera to scaffold first half and smashed tripod and taped that to scaffold second half. Second half was steady but first half may be funky and brief.

Team: Mott, McLaren, Obersteller, Kinch, Acheampong, Gallagher, Fazakerley, Clarke, Day, Lafayette, Healy

Not sure whether we have enough strikers on the bench!

Bench: Fairweather-Johnson, Hughes Mason, Main, Guthrie, Turner

0-0 HT.

Dean Cracknell scored for Hendon away at Aldershot in the FA Cup to make it 1-0, hopefully they can hold on.

Bishop's Stortford also 1-0 up against Hastings United

0-1 FT. Massive win for us that, well done to the lads for bouncing back from the last couple of weeks

Three cup games in a row now, would be nice to get on a winning streak even if LSC and KSC aren't that important

Great result, and a clean sheet is fantastic away from home with Franks and Martin missing. Well done lads.

Superb performance by the team yesterday, a real scrappy game where we fought hard and deserved the win. Special mentions to Connor McLaren who had a cracking game at right back and Jake Gallagher who was immense. On at least 3 Occassions he made blocks/tackles that could have led to goals and he's my Man of the Match.

Superb isn't a word l would use to describe the performance. I thought it was an awful game. Result was good and some good performances as mentioned above but as entertainment - not good.

In fairness the pitch was awful and I reckon if it had rained yesterday like it did today, the game would've been called off. The defence were superb and I only recall one late Kabba shot that flew well wide causing concern. The scrappy goal summed the game up but I think that the defensive performance and the hard work put in by the rest of the team meant that Welling deserved the win.

All depends what you are looking for.....entertainment OR three points.....obviously both BUT in the event when only one is on offer then 3 points from a miserably dull game for me every time
