They have a decent home record so far..but all against teams lower in the league. Only team higher they did play (dover) smashed them. Personally can't wait after missing tuesday night, lads in confident and i look forward to a cracking game.
Moses Ademola left them this week and goalkeeper Ross Flitney has been recalled by Gillingham so young Jack Dovey is back in the team. Apparently, there have been some spats between the bank-roller and supporters too.
They will be like a wounded tiger and be up for a scrap but if Welling play like they have in recent weeks, especially last Saturday, it will be a good game. I wonder if any of our injured players will be back.
The way the season is shaping up, we are adapting to to each situation and each opposition. There have been injuries to first choice players and as a squad we cope.
Today will be a measure of how consistant we can be.
Eastleigh are going along nicely so will be tough to break down.
As over the last three seasons we are a team all others want to do well against.
These are the games leading into Christmas that sort contenders and winners.
Started slowly and went behind , still looked better team first half. Another stunner from Kinchy and then we seemed to have too much for them. Motty did make a good save at 1-0 down that helped us big time. Ants goal you have seen disallowed for over protecting the keeper but i never saw Eastleigh moan about the goal. Kiernans goal was a corker, great move and good calm finish. Motty made other good saves too.
Better team won and we showed belief and never panicked when losing. We do look like we have some balls and belief, long may it continue, another good team performance and Barney again came in and was solid as a rock.
Interviews with Jamie Day and Sam Mott up late tonight and Highlights will follow over next day or so.

Looked a bit shaky defensively at times and didn't really threaten in the first half, although it looked like a certain penalty when Healy was (to all appearances) fouled in the box. Mott made a couple of excellent saves. I still thought we looked the better team in the first half. Two good goals from Kinch and KHM. AA's reminded me of one from the Conference years ago when a Welling player appeared to foul the keeper but the ref allowed the goal. Thought it was interesting that the Eastleigh players didn't really make a fuss when it was given and they certainly made a fuss about everything else.
If you read their board they count AA's goal as a keeper mistake which I agree with although you do see them given as a foul more often than not.......I REALLY hope we get some players back soon news I was given was.....
The game took a turn for the worse for the Spitfires when Welling United went ahead for the first time in the game with their second goal. ANTHONY ACHEAMPONG jumped with Dovey and headed home to find the net in the 67th minute, but controversy surrounded the incident that saw the Wings go 2-1 in front. Dovey and his Eastleigh team-mates were furious at the award of the goal as Acheampong looked to have fouled the goalkeeper as the pair went up for the ball. The referee was uninterested in the claims and the goal stood.
Pretty sure scored Joe Healy scored the second , see what you all think when the highlights are up. Seemed to loop over the keeper from Joe's header. Looks pretty straightforward to me.

Great game and great day out yesterday. Really pleased from what I saw from everyone and its an even better feeling to win even when you're not at your best.
Hard to see where Lee Clarke I going to fit into this squad at present as all 3 of yesterday's CM are playing consistently well at present. Great to see Kiernan score again and hoping he can keep it up an hit a bit of form. He was lively yesterday and got himself into some good positions but would love to see him finish a few more of his chances.
Huge game Tuesday now keep the run going in the lead up to a busy Xmas.
