Now then chaps. Our paths cross for the first ever time (as far as I'm aware) following the 3rd Round Trophy draw.

A pretty tough draw for us I think looking at your home record and current form. Although some of our fans still think we have a divine right to win every game we play against a team below us, most realise that this will be a big hurdle for us if you play to your potential.

We had a pretty routine win in the last round beating Havant & Waterlooville 4-0. The game was as good as over before 10 minutes had gone with us 2-0 to the good.

I'm looking forward to the game as it'll be a new ground for me and I'm fairly sure that our managers will be fielding their strongest side as Wembley become closer. Any tips re parking or pre-match pubs close to the ground? As for how many we will bring I'm not too sure. This competition hasn't really captured our fans imagination to be honest with trying to get back into the league a priority and we only had around 1200 for the first 2 rounds. We recently took around 400 to Ebbsfleet for a league match and we do have a sizeable London based following so I would say you'll be looking at between 150-200 coming.

Good luck until then and hopefully we can keep our form going as we have 4 very important games coming up over the Xmas period. We face our local rivals Lincoln City way on Boxing Day and have already sold our full allocation of 1747 tickets for that one. I'd like to see us pick up at least 9 points in those 4 games so the confidence is still good going into the New Year.

It's street parking only I'm afraid, and to be honest most of the roads are full of residents cars. So If there's a lot of you driving down you could have a problem.

There are 5 pubs on the way down from the station including a Wetherspoons(NewCross TurnPike) and a Green King (Nags Head) where several of us meet up before the game.

You also have one right next door to the ground (Guy Earl of Warwick) Our bar has recently had a bit of a makeover and will have a half way decent selection for you to choose from.

Lets hope the weathers kind to both of us and the games a good one.

Hello Harry

I will let others tell you about the best pubs etc but we are looking forward to the game too....we have knocked out Newport and Woking so far so to play you guys is another big test of how we are doing. Our ambition this season is to get to play the BSP teams every week by getting promotion and I guess yours is to return to the league. With resepct to Havant I think (and hope) you will get a tougher game this round. One of your old players - Kiernan mason Hughes is with us and is now starting to score goals so I am sure he will be up for it

Until the game.....hope you do well as it is time to forget about this game and get on with the league

There is a car park a few hundred yards away behind The Nag's Head pub. There is a small charge but there's usually plenty of room.

It's in a one way street so you come in from Upper Wickham Lane then Springfield Road.

Failing that, there's a Morrisons and a Tesco nearby with big car parks.

You can always come into the Wings bar, as long as the game isn't segregated. Let us know what real ale people like and I'm sure that we can try and accomadate you or maybe let you try something new.

One word of warning though, watch out for the barman, he's a right miserable bugger as anyone on here can tell you.......................

Cheers for that. We certainly can drink as Ebbsfleet will testify. When we played there recently they held a mini beer festival in their clubhouse with 4 different real-ales to try but I only got to sample 3 of them as by 2.15pm they had sold out! I'm a real ale man myself and always willing to try a new one.

Thanks for the advise re pubs and parking so far.

Now we have Shepherds Neame in wouldn't this be a idea for us??? They would have no trouble getting us a few in...stick them down in the snug and its job done.

Most beers do fly out the pumps when your around Mark. I'm surprised at times that I even manage to get it in the glass!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll talk to Barry/Barrie before the Grimsby game and see if we can come up with a few ideas
