With the New Year being our 50th Year in existance there will hopefully be lots going on

We are looking at bringing back alot of old players throughout the year for home games

Would be good to see who people would like to be back at the club for these celebrations

I was told just the other day whilst watching Erith Town that Barrie Hobbins recorded the early games in books,he must surely still have them,worth asking him for names of the players that first represented the club.

Also put a request in the programme,some of the old players from that time might still watch Welling.

Personally id like to see Malcom Spratt.

Also... Is there any video anywhere of Bartley in action? There must have been some games recorded even by opposition or fans with an early video camera?

We should also start looking at pre season friendlies to coincide with the celebrations....maybe ex wings v ex blackburn...but also was looking at other clubs formed in 1963. Vauxhall Motors,Curzon Ashton F.C,Egham Town (the latter we may have played in the 70's). A french club called Olympique Grande-Synthe Football based near Calais...nice little booze cruise :)

You can add Ollie Morah,Mark Hone to the list

It would be great if it were possible to get together possibly the five greatest strikers in the club's history, John Bartley, Terry Robbins, Gary Abbott, Danny Kedwell and Andy Pugh for a "Strikers' Night."  I'm sure the clubhouse would be packed.  I wonder how many goals these five scored for the club between them. 

Does WUSA have the funds to hire a private investigator to seek out JB?!
