More points Lost .1-1 Kedwell for Wings on 6 mins, A penalty for them after 75 mins.
SIGN SOME Fcuking Players DRAWS are not good enough! How to completely lose touch at the top in a few games!
50k-75k in fa cup winnings were joint top of league , Good Crowds, NOW we are slipping. NO MONEY spent on new players or to replace long term injured. Welling and the Hobbins show their lack of ambition again. They dont want to go up! Still at least they can get a new car and have a nice holiday,

Anyone know how many were deleted? Thankfully I only saw two postings from memory one slightly provocative response to JGFC's ranting about the brothers from Chelwing and a response from JGFC which started by being abusive to Chelwing and went on to try and defend his right to his views. Based on previous situations if there were further postings the chances are that they became more offensive. Had I been the moderator the JGFC post at 17:20 would have been edited be he the owner of the forum or not!
ollycafc, the point is Che didn't. The missing posting from Chelwing pointed out that Thurrock were no fools and were on the back of a good run of results but that we outplayed them for much of the game with which I have to agree. I would add that in my opinion and that of several of those around me (all within 10 yards of the incident) their penalty should never have been given. How many more times are dodgy refereeing decisions going to be more influential on the result than players performances?
At the end of the day IMHO despite not being at our best we had several opportunities to put the match beyond doubt. We didn't make the best of the opportunities and lost what could prove to be 2 valuable points.

I certainly don't agree with everything the Hobbins brothers do, but can't really see what they're doing wrong at the moment: this season (so far) is our best for a few seasons. I think every fan likes to see their team spend a bit on new players, but I'd rather we were in the position we're on now than top of the league and in massive debt. We all know how quickly high-spending teams can fall - just ask Telford.
We don't know the wage bill or other expenses the club has. £75k isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, but hopefully there'll be some left over to spend on players soon.
We have to remember that the Hobbins brothers created the club from nothing and we're still going, and not in financial trouble. Give them some credit.
As far as the quoted £75k goes it was declared at the Meet the Manager meeting in mid October that Ade and the brothers had decided to spread the money out over the year as a top up to the player budget in preference to going out and buying a player/players. Hopefully we will still be able to strengthen the squad with money that has subsequently been received (the Huddersfield and Trophy matches.)
