Best team in the league.

Imo we are watching one of the best teams in this league develop, as this season unfolds this team improves game by game.

Player by player review.

Sam Mott,  top goal keeper and improving game by game. shot stopper, commands the 18 yards and intelligent in putting the ball into play.Has a big influence and raises confidence for the whole team.

Jamie Turner,   nice to have Jamie, at any level quality keepers are essential

Loui Fazakerley,  quality at full back, gets forward, a big plus when in midfield, great fitness and would tackle a bus.

Big Ben Martin, Anthony Acheampong, and Frazer Franks,   all good destroyers but can all play a bit as well.

Jack Obersteller,  the best left back in this league no question... enough said.

Conner Mclaren, Barney Williams,   both have proved well capable,I hope we see more of these two.

Scott Kinch,  improving game by game, great presence, always there to sort a niggle.

Lee Clarke,  experienced and top quality player, good to have him help along the younger players.

Jamie Day,  natural player, natural leader, respected and admired.

Joe Healy, imo best ball player in this league, excellent intelligent footballer.

Jake Gallagher,  unselfish, strong,  hard working midfielder, gets on with the job no matter how hard he is tackled, improving all the time, has so much to offer.

Kiernan Hughes Mason,   this young player grows in quality game by game, knows where the goal is and scores with style, very skillful.

Theo Fairweather-Johnson,   good squad player, shows pace and flare, I recon we will see more of this player as the season progresses.

Ross Lafayette,  strong and skillful, a handful for any defender.

Kurtis Guthire,   hard working striker, runs all day long, flashes of brilliants will come in with goals before long.

Jon Main,   record speaks for its self, he will score more goals, no doubt.

(If Ive missed anyone feel free to add to the list)

Healy is up there with Daryl McMahon as the best midfielder that can kill teams in the league.

My view:

Sam Mott: Always looked a fantastic shot stopper but made a few mistakes earlier in the season, for the last couple of months he's been excellent though - commanding when dealing with crosses and also an excellent distributor of the ball.

Faz: Versatile, fit as a flea and very consistent, a 7 or 8 out of 10 every week

Jack Obersteller: Best leftback in the league bar none.

Anthony Acheampong: One of our most improved players, dominant in the air and rarely gets beaten on the ground. Still young and will only improve further

Fraser Franks: Excellent replacement for Jack Parkinson, has a bit of class about him

Ben Martin: At the start of the season probably didn't play up to the high standard he set at the end of last season (when he was arguably our best performer), but since SundayLeagueGate he's been immense

Connor Mclaren: Slotted in nicely and looked good pre-injury

Barney Williams: Looks a promising defender. A bit lightweight - I remember away to Hayes and Yeading they really targeted him aerially from set pieces and goal kicks, but he's very young so this side of his game will undoubtedly improve in time

Scott Kinch: A great option for the physical games, has also chipped in with a couple of quality goals

Jamie Day: Makes us tick when he plays, and as proved against Woking he's fantastic from set pieces

Lee Clarke: Seasoned pro, great around the dressing room and gets his fair share of goals

Juan Joe Healy: Classy ball player, shouldn't be afraid to use his right foot a bit more though - he showed what he can do with it with his assist for Gallagher's goal on Tuesday

Gallagher: Scott Parker's clone - runs himself into the ground every game, gets stuck in and always seems to make the right decision with the ball. One of the first names on the team sheet

KHM: Definitely a confidence player. When he runs at his marker, more often than not they don't have the pace or ability to deal with him. Needs to keep doing what he's been doing for the last couple of weeks and not shy away from taking on his man

Theo Fairweather Johnson: Thought he looked lively when he came on on Tuesday, made several bursts through the centre and distributed the ball out wide to Faz very effectively. He's 24 now and needs to be kicking on though, has ability but on too many occasions he hasn't got involved enough in the play

Jon Main: Chipped in with a few goals when he's played, slightly concerned though that if he's not "match fit" by January then he never will be. Still good to have him on the bench as an option when a poacher is needed. More than anything, other clubs turn up and say "Blimey, Jon Main is only on the bench - how good must their starters be?!?".

Kurtis Guthrie: Looks like he has a lot of ability, will want to get in the goals and I'm sure it will happen soon. In his first few games he was sometimes making runs into the same channels as Roscoe. I suspect this was probably because Roscoe was used to playing as the lone striker. Their partnership will develop though

Ross Lafayette: Short of him having a disastrous next few months, he's my player of the season simply because he dragged us through when the team as a whole were not playing to their potential. Without him for the first two months we would have struggled. Strong, quick, intelligent and works his nuts off for 90 minutes every game. I like the fact we signed him largely due to his performances at Faz's training camp - shows he has the right professional attitude by digging into his own pocket to give himself an edge for when the season started

Good way of putting it sladie, this team tell's you a lot of things like you don't have to spend a tone of money to have a great team and neither with a little spirit such a small club can pull off big things.

You are only as good as your last game, The fact our players play as a team, give their all, sets them apart. Some clubs pay silly money for good players but find it hard to get them playing as a team (Eastleigh).

We have good players no question, If we keep doing what we are doing then it can be a very good season. The good thing with our team is they are young and always improving and getting more experience.
