With Saturday already looking a non starter (and quite probably Tuesday as well) we are looking at fitting half our league season into three months! If the forecasters are to be beleived this cold spell will be around a couple more weeks (at least) so we could be playing three times a week come March/April...??
Whilst I realise there are clubs worse off than ourselves in this respect that is still going to be a big ask both on and off the pitch with no revenue coming into the club.
I hope Daisy can manage his resources well and that the weather doesn't affect our promotion chances...?
Controversially , I think BS leagues really need to consider allowing 3G pitches. Even if we can't afford one as yet , if push comes to shove .. once Thamesmead's new "stadium" is open we could use theirs if free for time being , would benefit both clubs and would stop this relentless game backlog every year. I'm not a fan of the winter break idea either .. Non-League Paper will be a pamphlet for the next few weeks if weather predictions are to be believed.
Crayford Dogs has cancelled their racing this afternoon and that is on an all weather track so to speak. With yet more frost forecast I can not see there being much chance of action from Park View Road this weekend.
